Rina tairo is a Helsinki born jewellery designer working out of her gallery in Brighton, East Sussex, with stockists around the globe and her flagship retail location in central London. After studying fine arts in Helsinki, Florence and London, Rinas travels took her to Australia where she first started to experiment with jewellery as an art of communication, extending her love of textiles into p
recious wearable art. her art was not unnoticed by the fashionistas of the time and her work has been sold in stores such as Libertys of London and Barneys in New York as well as stores in Japan and elsewhere around the globe. Picked as one of Sotheby's new designers at the beggining of 2000, she has been exhibiting her jewellery in art fairs and craft shows such as collect at V&A, Art london, origin etc as well as in galleries both in Englad and in the conntinent, where the skill and vision in each of her pieces is greatly appreciated. All Rinas work is crafted by hand using textile methods and tools, sometimes appropriated of modified to suit her own needs in mixing the arts of adornment, metal and lace, into her distinct style.
