Signed MONET JEWELERS, the mark Monet used from 1937 when the company moved from making monogram plaques for handbags into jewellery. That dates this bracelet to the late 1930s or early 1940s, which makes it one of the earliest Monet pieces you’re likely to come across. The charms are coin-style medallions, gold plated, hung from a solid link chain, and the whole thing has the weight and finish Monet was known for from the start. Early charm bracelets from the company are far less common than the later chain and link pieces, so this is an unusual one.

I don’t usually sell 50s jewellery as it often feels a bit too lady like for me, but this felt simple and sculptural enough to mix up with my usual baggy vintage t shirts.

This one was made in Western Germany so high quality.

Massive. But weirdly light.

Kalinger Paris made some properly enormous earrings in the 80s. French, bold, slightly mad and very good.

These are made from lightweight resin with a gold finish, which is why they can be this ridiculously big without pulling your ears off.

We’re developing a bit of a Kalinger obsession.

I’ve always had a soft spot for jewellery that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

This vintage 1990s Lunch at the Ritz bracelet is brilliantly over the top - dancing cats. Tiny mice. Sparkling crystals. What’s not to like?

Founded in the 1980s, Lunch at the Ritz built a cult following with hand-assembled jewellery made in the USA that ignored every rule about restraint. They made pieces that feel less like accessories and more like tiny wearable celebrations.
