Happy Chinese New Year 🧧✨

Welcoming the Year of the Horse 🐎 a symbol of strength, freedom, beauty and spirited elegance.

Horses have long galloped through jewellery history, from Victorian lucky charms to finely modelled equestrian tie pins and brooches. We have always loved them 🐴 their grace, their power, their sense of movement captured in gold.

May this new year bring energy, prosperity and the courage to chase what sets your heart racing.

Who Wore What - The Opera Ball Edit ✨

Under the chandeliers of the Vienna Opera Ball, every jewel had its moment and every piece shown here is available on the Parkin & Gerrish website.

Our Director, Zuleika wore an Edwardian platinum diamond necklace with a 30 carat aquamarine drop, French Belle Époque diamond earrings, and an Art Deco 10 carat diamond bracelet styled as a tiara as well as, an Art Deco diamond ring.

Our other Director, Oliver finished his white tie with an Art Deco Old European cut diamond jabot brooch - proof that men can (and should) sparkle too.

Elmerice Habsburg-Lothringen wore large mid-19th century French ‘Portuguese style’ pendeloque bow paste earrings with a wide Edwardian silver paste bracelet- luminous, historic, unforgettable.

Elizabeth Hawes of the Wiener Staatsoper chorus wore a French 19th century rose-cut diamond horseshoe brooch inspired by Empress Sisi.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Only in England could you find a 1930s woman taking her turkey for a stroll and as someone from Norfolk, I can confirm this feels alarmingly plausible.
(Though at Parkin & Gerrish, we much prefer our showstoppers in diamonds rather than feathers.)

✨ Website glow-up ✨

After too many late nights (and a few coding disasters 🙃), I’ve finally cracked it — our Parkin & Gerrish homepage has had a little refresh! 💗💚 Self-taught coding is not for the faint-hearted… but I think it’s looking rather lovely now.
