💎✨ I never intended to start a jewellery business. ✨💎

Twenty years into a corporate career, the last thing I expected was to fall in love with diamonds.

I worked in legal and compliance roles for hedge funds and investment banks 📈⚖️. My world was contracts, regulations, risk management and meetings.

Then my son became seriously ill. ❤️

Life became hospital wards, uncertainty, sleepless nights and endless worry. 🏥💔

During one of those difficult periods, I took a walk through Hatton Garden to clear my head. 🚶‍♀️✨

I had no idea that walk would change the course of my life.

Back at the hospital, during long nights when sleep wouldn’t come, I found myself researching diamonds, gemstones and jewellery design. 💎💻🌙

What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession.

I became determined to create the perfect classic Tiffany-style engagement ring. 💍✨

I studied diamonds, learned everything I could about gemstones and spent every spare moment immersed in a world I knew absolutely nothing about just months before.

That single ring changed everything.

One ring became two. Two became ten. Before long, what had started as an escape during one of the hardest chapters of my life had become a business. 🦩💎

Today, I spend my time sourcing exceptional diamonds, Burmese rubies ❤️, Colombian emeralds 💚, rare sapphires 💙 and extraordinary pieces of jewellery from around the world. 🌍✨

But the truth is, I never planned any of this.

What began in a hospital room became Flamingo Gems. 🦩💖
