Annabella began with a rather unloved 1.90ct natural diamond, sitting in an ugly old ring that frankly did absolutely nothing for her.

But I could see the potential. 💎

I removed the diamond from her original setting, had her professionally repolished to bring her back to life, and then started completely from scratch.

I created a brand-new platinum shank and classic Tiffany-inspired six-prong setting specifically for this diamond, designed to lift her proudly above the finger and allow light to reach the stone from every possible angle.

Maximum light. Maximum fire. Maximum sparkle. ✨

At the centre: a phenomenal 3.28ct natural very pale yellow marquise diamond, now certified and with an approximate £40,000 RRP for the stone alone. 😱💛

Next stop: finding the PERFECT pair of pear-shaped diamonds. 🍐🍐 A selection is coming over from Antwerp, and next week I have some very special one-to-one time with Noam Lenzini, founder & CEO of WGI, to help me choose them. 🔬💎

Then it’s CAD design → wax model → my approval → the build → THE BIG REVEAL! 🔨🦩

It was the graveyard shift last night getting this little beauty finished and absolutely perfect before I leave! ✈️😂💙

You may remember this spectacular 7ct pear-cut tanzanite on sale from a few weeks ago… and now you can see exactly what happens when one of our creations finally comes to life! ✨

My lovely client Linda purchased a ring from me last year, and this time we decided to completely reimagine it, creating a new setting for this incredible AAAA Kashmir-blue tanzanite. 💙💎

And THIS is the finished result… 😍

I am completely in love with how she has turned out — a proper showstopper, and I think the perfect ring for Linda! 💙✨

✨🥂 AFTERNOON TEA WITH NIKKI – TAKE TWO! 🥂✨

Guys, I’m about to head off to Thailand 🇹🇭✈️ but before I go, I managed to squeeze in our second Afternoon Tea with Nikki! 💎🦩

This time I headed to the beautiful Rowhill Grange Hotel & Spa in Kent for an afternoon of sunshine, bubbles, gorgeous food and even better company! ☀️🥂🍰

💖 Introducing the lovely Carole! 💖

Carole has been a Flamingo Gems client since the very early days — and we actually met completely by chance in our local nail bar when she overheard me talking about DIAMONDS! 😂💎 Of course we were destined to become friends!

Carole is a long-time jewellery collector with a particular love for Art Deco. Today she was wearing the very first piece she ever bought from me — a stunning Art Deco diamond bracelet — alongside a more recent purchase, her gorgeous emerald and diamond ring. 💚💎

Over the years, Carole has collected around 10 Flamingo Gems pieces, and every few months she seems to find another treasure she simply has to have! 😂🦩

Like so many of my wonderful regular clients, Carole has become a genuine friend, and it was such a pleasure to spend a sunny afternoon together chatting jewellery, life and, naturally, admiring a few sparkles! 🥰

I also finally discovered where her love of Art Deco began… as a little girl, Carole was fascinated by her Nan’s beautiful Art Deco ring. ❤️ I absolutely LOVE hearing the stories behind people’s passion for jewellery — because so often, it begins with a piece and a person we never forget.

Welcome to the very first Afternoon Tea with Nikki at the beautiful Cliff Hotel in stunning Gwbert, Cardigan Bay! 🌊☕✨

I’m often asked, “How do you meet your clients?” ❤️

Well, today I’m introducing you to the wonderful Amanda, one of my longest-standing and most loyal clients. 🦩

Our journey together began a few years ago when Flamingo Gems was just a dream. Back then, I was handmaking and selling silver jewellery from a tiny market stall overlooking the beautiful Cardigan Bay in West Wales🩵 It’s incredible to think how far we’ve come since those early days! I had quit my corporate job, had sold just one Tiffany style ring and had the summer in Wales.

As Flamingo Gems grew into a luxury fine jewellery business specialising in exceptional antique and vintage treasures, Amanda was one of the very first people to believe in me. She has supported my journey ever since, and I’ll always be grateful for that. 💎✨

Amanda thought she was simply joining me for a lovely afternoon tea… ☕🍰

But I had a very special surprise waiting for her. ❤️

Her son, Zayne, had secretly purchased a breathtaking antique Old European Cut diamond necklace, and I had the honour of presenting it to her during our afternoon together. 🥹💎
