Honoured to have contributed to a shoot with Georgia Harrison MBE, published in today's The Sun.

Georgia's story is one of extraordinary courage. She waived her anonymity as a victim of intimate image abuse, pursued both criminal and civil justice, and has become one of the UK's leading advocates for victims of violence against women and girls.

Yesterday, after reporting further offences following her abuser's release, he was returned to prison.

What I admire most is that she didn't stop at seeking justice for herself. She has used her experience to help protect those who come after her.

For this shoot, I curated a small selection of pieces that I felt reflected this chapter of her life. Jewellery isn't just decoration to me - it marks who we are, what we've survived, and where we're going next.

Georgia is wearing an antique mariner's chain fastened with a SAM HAM Ballz T-bar. This September, I'll be unveiling a new diamond pendant I've designed especially for this chain at Goldsmiths' Fair - fine jewellery & contemporary silver, where it will be exhibited for the first time.

There are pieces of jewellery sitting in drawers all over the world.

Too valuable to throw away.
Too personal to sell.
But no longer representative of the person you've become.

An engagement ring from a marriage that's over. An heirloom that never felt like your style. Jewellery tied to a chapter of your life that no longer fits.

That's why I started SAM HAM.

I don't believe beautiful gold, platinum, diamonds and gemstones should spend a lifetime hidden away because the story attached to them has changed.

Instead, I take the materials you already own and transform them into jewellery that's made for the life you have today. Pieces that reflect your taste, your story and the person you've become.

Because jewellery isn't just for happy endings.

It was such a lovely surprise to hear Davina McCall and Michael Douglas talking about my work on Making the Cut. Thank you both for your incredibly kind words. Hearing someone understand not just what I do, but why I do it, meant a great deal.

Some of my favourite projects start with a piece of jewellery that someone thinks has reached the end of its life.

A broken chain. A worn wedding band. A ring that's sat in a drawer for years because it no longer fits, no longer suits them, or simply can't be repaired.

Most people see the end of the story.

I see the beginning of the next chapter.

One of the things I love most about remodelling jewellery is that nothing is really lost. The gold can be melted down. The diamonds can be reset. The gemstones can find a new home. The history doesn't disappear - it evolves.

An heirloom doesn't have to stay exactly as it was to honour the person it came from. Sometimes the greatest tribute is creating something you'll actually wear, love and pass on yourself.

Jewellery is one of the few things that can outlive all of us.

The T-bar is having a bit of a moment.⁠

I've never thought of it as something to hide behind your neck. To me, it's always deserved to be front and centre.⁠
⁠
What started as the clasp for my BALLZ Collection has become one of the design signatures of SAM HAM, popping up across my collections and bespoke commissions. It's more than just a fastening. It's part of the design.⁠
⁠
So it was such a nice surprise to see Brittany Siminitz (Brittany Siminitz) include my BALLZ & Pearl necklace in her latest JCK Magazine article exploring the history and resurgence of the T-bar necklace.⁠

I love that a component originally designed purely for function has become something worth celebrating in its own right.⁠
⁠

A little pinch-me moment. 🤍

Yesterday I was featured in The Irish Times Magazine (Saturday supplement), with a beautiful piece written by Irish stylist and journalist Corina Gaffey.

I'm so pleased that what resonated most with Corina was this:

"I design for these moments: the unforeseen messy curveballs, the reinventions, and quiet shifts no one writes a toast for."

Because that's exactly why SAM HAM exists.

I create jewellery that honours change. Whether it's remodelling an unworn engagement ring, reworking inherited pieces, or transforming jewellery that's no longer telling your story, I believe the most meaningful pieces are often the ones that already belong to you.

A few years ago I realised something.⁠

Women were bringing me engagement rings, inherited jewellery and pieces tied to relationships that no longer reflected who they were. Not because the jewellery had lost its value, but because its meaning had changed.⁠

What started as a handful of redesign projects has become the foundation of my business.⁠
⁠
This week, Women's Wear Daily () featured SAM HAM in an article exploring the rise of 'divorce jewellery' and the growing movement towards remodelling, repurposing and rewriting the stories behind the pieces we already own.⁠
