The Gary pedal down at the Stompbox fx & synth expo in Hackney at the wkend.
This is the latest creation from EarthQuaker Devices in collaboration with Lee Kiernan of Idles. Gary isn’t your typical fuzz or overdrive pedal; it’s a unique blend of pulse width modulation (PWM) fuzz and natural overdrive, offering a wide range of tones, from smooth sustain to aggressive shredding, and everything in between.
I tried it and it’s lots of fun.
Loads of really interesting other pedals there too.
Habit and blooper were very clever and on my list. Overall it was a very cool day.

Just back from a fantastic and really interesting visit to the stomp box expo in Hackney. Loads of great pedals, synths and people. I tried out a few cool pedals and watched people learn to build synths in a workshop. Such a brilliant and inspiring event thanks to the organisers and exhibitors 👏
