I stayed with a few friends at a really great eco retreat place in Dorset last week run by a charity and volunteers. It had such a great vibe I decided to make a couple of bishop chess pieces for them that were missing from the chess set in the lounge.
My good friend Danny at let me use a pole lathe and I spent lovely morning in the woods turning them out.
I really enjoyed making them I sent them off today, I hope they like them 🤞🏻

My friend Pete at makes fantastically romantic jewellery from the wreckage of downed World War II fighter planes like Spitfires, Hurricanes and Meschersmitts. I help him out with a bit of engraving from time to time.

With the piece he includes the story of the pilot and how the plane ended up crashing to earth. It’s a magical thing, check him out.
