What it means for me is I'm done.
I have supported Liverpool Football Club for almost 50 years since before I had any concept of football and I have boycotted Amazon for well over 20. It's with a heavy heart that I am coming to terms with turning my back on the team responsible for some of the most joyful times in my life. No doubt the £1.3 Billion will offset the disappointment of losing my support and I'm obviously aware that LFC have been owned by venture capitalists for a long time already but I can't in good conscience support something that Jeff Bezos has his fingers in. Honestly I'm gutted but the writing has been on the wall a while.
Goodbye to the beautiful game and thank you for the memories

With May coming to it's end, some of you who took part in "No Mow May" will no doubt be itching to get the mower out but before you do, here's a couple of things I hope you can consider.
Longer grass needs less watering saving time and money so when you cut it going forward perhaps go a couple of notches higher. It'll still be tidy, it might even look better without the brown patches.
If you can leave a patch or two for nature even better, especially next to the pond if you have one. Long grass gone to seed and maybe some self seeded wildflowers will bring more birds into your garden without the need for buying birdseed.
If you love butterflies, remember you need caterpillars and they need to eat too, many live on long grass.
The joy of spotting a goldfinch eating dandelion seeds or a green woodpecker eating ants on your lawn or finding a wild orchid sprouting in a quiet corner, maybe even an edible fungus or herb can boost not just your sense of wellbeing but also your health.
Increasing biodiversity in your garden has countless benefits for the wider world as well as for you and it's actually less work than maintaining a "pristine" lawn so why not give it a go in a corner and see what happens?
