My next event is the fabulous in the village of Melbourne, South Derbyshire, on 19 & 20th September. Around 150 artists and makers are hosted in a variety of venues from houses to shops to church halls around the village. I'm in the Assembly Rooms, a great place to start the trail, you can get your trail map and as well as around 30 artists to discover, there is also a cafe with lots of lovely 🍰 I'd better get back to making (and making and making!!)

Join me this Friday! (4th September)
These gorgeous wire flowers were made by complete wire work beginners on recent wire flower workshops run by me. The inspiration comes from beautiful seasonal flowers like dahlias, zinnias and echinacea. I teach two different techniques to create the basic flower shapes and then the tips and tricks to shape the petals in different ways so you end up with such a variety of blooms to display in a vase.

Come and make your own unique flowers this Friday at Ditzy Rose Makery in Tattenhall, Cheshire - contact the lovely Nikki to book, via DM or through her website.

You can choose black wire or copper wire to work with, and there are 1000s of colourful glass beads to choose from to embellish your flowers.

I have over 20 years experience of working with wire and lots of teaching experience too, so you are in safe hands 🙂

After a busy, sold out, day yesterday at Art in the Pen there are still tickets with on site parking available for today, Sunday 16th August. You can grab yours on the Art in the Pen website. The temperature was perfect in the cattlemarket yesterday, very comfortable for browsing and buying from 200+ artists and makers. Weather looks similar today - in fact there was even a short rain shower just now!

ART IN THE PEN - it's this weekend! Are you coming?

Come and see me (and 200 other artists and makers) as we transform cattle pens in Skipton, Yorkshire, into beautiful displays of our work. The event is open 9-4 on Sat 15th, and 10-4 Sunday 16th, and you'll need to book your tickets in advance via the website, slots ell out so it's worth popping over to do that sooner rather than later.

I'm in pen 1, which I think is a similar place to where I was last year. Do come and say hello, you'll be able to see my wire work and my silver wire jewellery, and chat to me about workshops.

I'd better get back to my prep!
