Meet Elizabeth, the designer and maker of many of the jewellery ranges in the Darcy and Wolf Collections.
Here are a few words from her on Darcy and Wolf:
Thank you for supporting a small business.
I’m often asked where the name Darcy & Wolf came from. I was looking for something both elegant and strong and, after much deliberation, it emerged. Darcy from the name of a close friend’s puppy and Wolf from a Portuguese name in my family.
The majority of my jewellery is handmade. I’ve always enjoyed working with a variety of materials including precious metals, freshwater pearls, ceramic, shell and glass. Inspiration can come from the materials themselves, from the countryside around my home in North Yorkshire or from the wild and scenic Portuguese land and seascape around Arrabida.
The small selection of items I do not make are sourced selectively to complement my range.
I appreciate the time you have taken to read my story and, whether purchased for yourself or as a gift, I hope the jewellery brings years of enjoyment.
Elizabeth
