📸 Bulova A-15 “Elapsed Time” Pilot’s Watch – WWII Era 😊NOW SOLD😊

This isn’t just a watch — it’s a cockpit instrument you can wear on your wrist. ✈️
The Bulova A-15 was developed for U.S. Army Air Force pilots in 1944, featuring dual rotating inner bezels for mission timing — a rare alternative to the more famous A-11.

🕰 Specs & Story:
• Model: Bulova A-15 Elapsed Time Navigator
• Era: 1944–1945 WWII Military Issue
• Dial: Black with luminous numerals & 24-hour inner track
• Function: Two crowns to operate elapsed time & 24-hour bezels
• Movement: Manual wind, hack feature for precise sync

With its rugged build, legible dial, and military provenance, the A-15 remains one of the most collectible WWII pilot watches — and far less common than its A-11 cousin.

💬 Question for you: Would you keep this piece original with its wartime patina, or restore it to factory fresh?

📍 Avenue de la Grande Armée, Paris — on your wrist
Here’s a timepiece that defies easy categorization: a rare Aux Excursionnistes chronograph, proudly bearing the iconic Paris address on its pristine white ceramic dial.

🧭 Dated to the early 20th century, this remarkable wristwatch houses a Lemania 16’’ hand-wound movement, and though over a century old, it remains in full working order.

💡 Its fixed wire lugs and bold red “12” nod to the trench watch era, yet this piece wasn’t repurposed from a pocket watch — it was born to be a wristwatch. A true example of early design innovation.

🕰️ We’ve yet to find another with this exact dial. If you know more — we’d love to hear from you!

Our Story | Vintage Watch Specialist

I remember over 35 years ago (yes it really was that long ago, scary when I think about it) when I first started collecting - budgets were very small, and so I looked for more affordable (cheaper) watches until it got to a point where my urge to buy a beautiful timepiece became irresistible! Here at Vintage Watch Specialist, we want to help you achieve that same satisfaction, safe in the knowledge that you have the support of fellow enthusiasts and can buy, sell or part-exchange your watch here with confidence. We aren’t "snobby" about the brands we buy and sell and are ready and willing to take in part exchange, which is certainly not the case with many of our competitors.

Both myself and my colleagues here at Vintage Watch Specialist are on hand to enhance your experience and hope to match you with the watch of your dreams. We aim to incorporate a wide variety of brands, styles and eras to suit all budgets. From vintage military classics which saw WWI and II-action to cutting edge modern Omega sports watches and everything in between. My staff and I at Vintage Watch Specialist will always go the extra mile to find the watch to suit you whether it be a Timex, Seiko or a Patek we aim to give everyone that special service. I fully appreciate that there are many people out there who are just getting into watches and collecting, as when I first started collecting, that don't yet either have the confidence, or possibly the budget, to buy what they ultimately want. We at VWS are here to help the novice collector get on the first rung of the ladder, whilst also catering to a well-collected crowd with some remarkable classic and unique timepieces.

I have been in a self employed capacity for 30 years now and I know that customer service and satisfaction are paramount: you cannot beat repeat and custom and recommendations. I want our customers to get to know us, and one another as well as fellow collectors & enthusiasts, so that we can all share our passion. I hope you enjoy your experience here with Vintage Watch Specialist, If you have not found the watch of your dreams, please don't be disheartened: we would be happy to assist you, either send us an email or for a more tailored experience give us a call and have a chat with us about what, specifically you want us to find for you - we are more than happy to talk! Particularly about watches, at any time!
