In case you haven't heard... there's a bit of a heatwave! ☀️🥵🤣

Our studio is essentially a rather lovely greenhouse when the temperatures climb, so we'll be working from home today and tomorrow to avoid melting.

Don't worry though – we're still busy behind the scenes making your orders, answering emails, picking up calls and generally keeping everything ticking along as normal.

We'll be back in the studio as soon as the weather decides to be a little less enthusiastic - hopefully Friday 🤞

Stay cool, and enjoy the sunshine 🌿✨

🌊 Back by popular demand! 🌊

Joe has been busy creating more of his popular Surf Style Beach Bracelets, and we're delighted to say they're now back in stock at Calbourne Water Mill.

Handmade here on the Isle of Wight using discarded fishing rope (ghost nets) collected from our coastline, each bracelet has its own unique colours and story. ♻️

Not only do they look great, but they're also helping to give marine waste a second life rather than it ending up in landfill or causing harm to wildlife.

Pop in and take a look next time you're visiting the Mill – but be quick, they don't tend to stay on the shelves for long!

£15 each

🐝🐿️ A busy day behind the scenes at Calbourne Water Mill! 🐿️🐝

It's been one of those days where nature has certainly kept us on our toes.

Earlier today, Shaun was called out to Ryde to safely rescue a swarm of bees that had settled on a driveway. The bees have now been successfully relocated and are already settling into their new home here at the Mill. They're certainly buzzing to be in their new surroundings! 🐝

We've also been keeping a close eye on Squirrel Nutkin, our gorgeous little red squirrel, who has been looking a bit patchy recently. The good news is that he's still zipping around the grounds, keeping active and feeding well.

We've been liaising with both and for advice, and Jenny at has been making sure there's plenty of food available for him. We're monitoring him closely and keeping our fingers crossed that it's nothing serious and that we'll have some positive news to share soon. ❤️🐿️

One thing's for certain – there's never a dull day at Calbourne Water Mill!

Have you spotted Squirrel Nutkin on your visits recently?

A little something we've been working on... 🤍

What do you think of this tiny Isle of Wight heart ring?

We're deciding whether it should become part of the Bonita Bay collection and would love to know what you think. Would you wear it?

We love that it's subtle, easy to wear every day and carries a little piece of the Island wherever you go.

Let us know in the comments... should this one stay? ✨

Yesterday's workshop was a full one, and just look at what everyone created ✨

Every piece has its own meaning.
As always, we love to hear the stories behind what inspired the designs.

The beautiful pendant with the numbers was made in honour of its maker’s partner’s Fire Service number - who by the way, after 17 years on the job, has recently rescued his very first cat – a moment that’s become the highlight of his career! 🤣🐱 Huge congratulations to you from Becks and Michelle 🤣

We also had an Isle of Wight paw print created as a special memory of a much-loved dog, a bee pendant for a bee enthusiast, a beautiful unique star and gem design, and of course a couple of Isle of Wight designs inspired by a love of Island life.

Every piece was completely different, each one reflected the person who made it and their story.

It was also lovely to welcome Kirsty back for her second workshop with us. Seeing familiar faces return is always such a compliment and something we never take for granted.

It was a wonderful morning .

Thank you to everyone who joined us 🩵

Yesterday we had a 1:1 workshop for Fi, who wanted to learn the basics of silver metal clay jewellery making.

After getting to grips with the process, she designed and created this beautiful pendant as a gift for a friend.

We always love seeing how different everyone's designs turn out, especially when they're making something with a particular person in mind.
Knowing this pendant is going to be given as a gift, and it's the first pendant she's made, makes is even more special.

She also took all the end result photos too 🥰 we love how creative she got, beautiful pics, well done Fi.

Didn't she do well!

We will be seeing Fi again for further lessons but wish her the very best of luck for her future career as a jeweller 🩵

You know when you make something and it quietly becomes one of your favourites?

That's this little pendant for us.

The triangle shape is often associated with strength, balance and resilience, and this pendant is a simple reminder.
