❤️ A little update on our Christmas giveaway.

A few days ago, Kevin and I shared something we wanted to do this Christmas. We’re giving three families who are going through a difficult time a £100 gift voucher each to spend at The Gilded Lily & Co to hopefully make Christmas that little bit brighter. ❤️

Nominations will remain open until Sunday 1 November, so there’s still time to nominate someone you know, or put yourself forward.

We honestly didn’t know what to expect when we put our post up. The number of messages we’ve received has really touched us, and some of the stories people have shared have been heartbreaking.

We’ve decided to use a random name generator to choose the families. We don’t feel it’s right to compare people’s circumstances or decide whose struggles are greater than someone else’s. Everyone has their own story, and nobody should feel they have to share their personal struggles to be considered.

❤️ Please share this post so it reaches as many people as possible and everyone has a chance to be nominated.

Once the draw has taken place, we’ll contact the families privately, as we want to respect everyone’s privacy.

Kevin and I know that life can be difficult at times, and that Christmas can bring extra worries for families who are already struggling. If we can make Christmas a little easier or brighter for even a few families, that means a lot to us. ❤️

A little reminder that we’re OPEN today and tomorrow! 💛

We’ll be closed Monday and Tuesday, and possibly part of Wednesday while we get everything ready for our exciting Nomination refit. We’ll keep you posted on reopening times!

❤️ A little bit of a different giveaway ❤️

Whilst we’ll still be sharing all our lovely new arrivals, Christmas gifts and exciting things happening in the shop, we know that Christmas isn’t an exciting time for everyone. For some families, the worry about money can make what should be a lovely time of year really difficult.

So Kevin and I would like to do something a little different this Christmas.

We’d like to give 3 families who are genuinely struggling financially a £100 voucher each to spend at The Gilded Lily & Co. ❤️

There won’t be any big public announcement of the winners, unless they’re happy for us to share. We know that asking for help isn’t always easy, and the last thing we want is for anyone to feel uncomfortable about their circumstances. There’s absolutely no shame in struggling, and nobody should have to explain their situation to the world.

If you know a family who could do with a little help this Christmas, or you’re struggling yourself, please send us a private message. You don’t need to share your circumstances publicly, and we’ll keep everything as private as possible.

We’ll put the nominations into a draw and pick three families at random.

We know there are some wonderful charities and organisations doing so much to help people, and we’ll be supporting them again this year too. But this is something personal that Kevin and I wanted to do ourselves.

We know £100 won’t solve everything, but if it can take a little pressure off, help with some Christmas presents or make things that bit easier for three families, then we’ll be really happy.

✨ Permanent Jewellery at The Gilded Lily ✨

It’s been a VERY busy few days with permanent jewellery, so here are a few photos that Molly actually remembered to take amongst all the excitement! 😂🤍

One lovely lady came in for one bracelet and ended up leaving with TWO! 🥹✨

She chose a beautiful amethyst charm for her own birthstone on her first bracelet, but then spotted that we also had an amethyst and opal connector her son’s birthstone! 💜🤍

Of course, she had to have a second bracelet with the special connector so she could carry a little piece of him with her too. 🫶🏼

Honestly, how beautiful is that idea? Jewellery that’s not only gorgeous but has such a special meaning behind it. 🥰

We absolutely love being part of these little moments and helping you create something so personal! ✨

🍂 Cold days call for cosy nights, and nothing says cosy quite like a beautiful scented candle burning away! 🕯️

We’ve just had a HUGE delivery of Paddywax candles and fireside matches arrive at The Gilded Lily.

We stocked Paddywax last Christmas and they proved really popular, so when we visited the Top Drawer trade show, Molly decided to expand our range. And what a selection she’s chosen! 😍

I think she must get her candle-holic tendencies from me… 😂

It’s always lovely spotting brands we stock at The Gilded Lily when you’re having a wander round somewhere like Selfridges in London. 🥰 We spotted Paddywax, and of course I had a look at their selection. I think we might just have them beaten on choice! 😂

We have a massive favour to ask… (yes, another one, we know! 😂🙈)

We are absolutely blown away and feel incredibly proud and honoured to have been nominated.

Kevin and I have put so much into this little shop, and I’ve been so lucky to have the girls alongside me, helping bring it all to life. We’ve literally put our heart and soul into The Gilded Lily, so to have this recognition really does mean a lot to us. ❤️

I know I’m always saying we have the best customers, but I absolutely, genuinely mean it.

✨ Remember that exciting little secret we mentioned a few weeks ago? (The worst-kept secret ever! 😂)

We’ve possibly already told everyone who’s come into the shop, but for those we haven’t… here it is! ✨

We’re going to be a Nomination Shop-in-Shop! 🥰

It’s all starting to come together now and we are SO excited! 🤍

This means even more charms (yes, even more than we already have! 😂), a beautiful new cabinet of watches, and more jewellery ranges coming soon.

Nomination has always been at the heart of The Gilded Lily, and now it’s going to have an even bigger place in the shop.

We honestly never imagined we’d be doing something this big so soon after opening, and that’s all thanks to you. Every visit, every purchase and every bit of support has helped us get here, and we’re so grateful. 💛

We’ll be closed for a few days from Monday 26th October while the new cabinets are installed on Tuesday. Gareth and his two lovely daughters will then work their magic with the new displays, while we attempt to get the rest of the shop back into some sort of order! 😂

Just to give you an idea of what’s coming, we’ve shared a picture of another Nomination Shop-in-Shop. It’s not the exact layout we’ll have, but it gives you a little glimpse of what we’re working towards! 👀✨
