At last! I plucked up the courage to finally get this guy in the kiln!

I didn’t realise that it was APRIL that I sat for almost 3 hours placing every single tiny dot 🫣

I was petrified of the dots falling off in the kiln 🤣 but I’m delighted to report I needn’t have worried!

Now, what do I do with him?! 🤣🤣

Yesterday was a good day for many more than 5 reasons! I was super busy so time ran away from me and I didn’t get chance to share with you, so I’m doing it this morning.

Aren’t you lucky to get not one, but TWO pics of me 😬 (they weren’t taken yesterday! 🫣😆)

Workshops, new products, exciting updates on a new collaboration which is coming soon, driving theory booked for my son, new glass and a takeaway to celebrate an exciting milestone!

It’s all going on!

I’ll be busy today with tutoring bits and pieces but tomorrow I’ll be back in the studio to play with more glass! 🥳

Decided to make a short trip to the studio again today. From home to our studio is a 7 minute drive…

“It looks like it’s going to start chucking it down any minute “ I said as we got in to the car.

*secretly hoping it holds off for 7 minutes*

Off we go, and as we get to the end of our road, the rain drops start…and as we pull up to the studio…absolute down pour! ☔️

Anyway, we just stayed long enough to fill the kiln with a round of Christmas decs!

The count down to the Christmas Market is on….12 weeks to go until the eve of crazy season for us! 🫨

I always say I’m going to make all year and be ready in plenty of time and somehow I’ve still not managed it! 🙄

Just a quick trip to the studio today.

I decided I was going to give myself the day off but then remembered that I needed to drill the workshop pieces, so I popped over for long enough to do that and to fill the kiln.

I thought I’d show you a little “behind the scenes” video of the drilling.

I realised a little too late that I should probably have topped up the water levels, so the tapping they you see occasionally is just to create a little wave over the glass to keep the drill bit cool.

Aaaand we’re in!

2 1/2 hours from start to finish. I’m sure I’ve forgotten something, but even if I had - we’ve squeezed SOOO much into the cabinets this year (Eifion told me ages ago we had enough to fill the shelves but I kept panic making!)

I’m not so happy with the Christmas cabinet but I ran out of display 🤦🏻‍♀️ what a fool!

Anyway, exhibition starts tomorrow and continues for 6 weeks and it’s certainly worth going to have a nosey as there is a fabulous art exhibition on the walls by an artist by the name of Jonny Barrett being installed and also, has had some refurbishment done this week and is looking fabulous!

Ooh, and if you go this weekend, it’s the plum festival!

I’m in love 😍 again!!

Another new favourite piece!

The final item, hot out of the kiln this afternoon, to be packed and we are on our way I’m just a moment to set up our exhibition at !

268 items!!! (Some larger than others!)

The exhibition starts tomorrow, the 29th September and goes on for 6 weeks.

I’m really rather proud of everything we have achieved to put this exhibition together, it’s no mean feat, let me tell you!

I’m having a rather large glass of wine 🍷 tonight! 🤣
