Inspired by early precision watches, the dial brings together symmetry, negative space and restrained geometry, while the Mercury case adds a sculpted, polished and unmistakably modern Isotope counterpoint. New Piece Unique: Isotope Mercury Fire Horse Straw Marquetry

A handmade piece unique by Bernardo d’Orey, one of the finest micro-marquetry straw artisans working today.

Created on the Isotope Mercury case, this one-of-one dial reflects the Year of the Horse and the element of Fire: movement, strength, instinct, energy, and transformation. The dial is composed of 100 microscopic straw parts, each one individually selected, cut, shaped, and placed by hand. The level of difficulty is exceptionally high, demanding absolute control, patience, and an eye for colour that feels almost painterly.

Straw marquetry is slow, precise, and unforgiving. Every fragment reacts to light in its own way, creating a living surface that changes as the watch moves. On the Mercury, its sculpted case and clean geometry provide the perfect frame for Bernardo’s work, allowing the dial to become the centre of the piece without losing the Isotope character.

This is not a limited edition. It is a piece unique.

The new Moonshot Horizon is now available to pre-order.

Limited to 30 watches, it pairs a cyan-blue sunburst dial with silver aluminium Moondiscs, a turbine chapter ring filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1, and a sandblasted Grade 5 titanium case built around the automatic Valjoux 7753.

The bezel adds a telemeter scale for estimating the distance of approaching storms, and a pulsometer scale for measuring heart rate, because the Moonshot was never meant to be just another chronograph.

Delivery estimated by the end of June.

The OVNI was spotted again, across three different frames, this time in what appear to be completely unmanipulated pictures taken by a friend. Can you spot it?

No CGI, no filters, no digital trickery. Just a strange shape moving through the clouds, looking as if it had taken a wrong turn somewhere between La Chaux-de-Fonds and another galaxy.

We still have questions, naturally.

Back on Earth, the OVNI continues to do what it was designed to do: reveal time through its jumping discs, with a mechanism developed around Swiss precision and a design language that refuses to behave like anything else.

The Hydrium Ice Fall.

Our first stone dial, cut from Brazilian amethyst to just 0.4mm. Thin enough to let the light through, revealing the veins, fractures and quiet life inside the stone, echoing the ice of the Grotte de Glace in Chamonix.

Inside, we keep it equally cool with the La Joux-Perret automatic movement, offering 68 hours of power reserve and regulated to near-COSC values.
