I never know what to write when someone says 'tell me about yourself', so I suppose I'll tell you how and why I began making cards and jewellery. I first began making cards about 6 years ago, in 2005, thinking that it would be nice to send handmade cards to family and close friends for Christmas. However, no sooner had I completed the first few cards, my Mum asked me to make 25 cards for her to se
nd to family and friends. Before long, I was making cards for all occasions - birthdays, easter, christenings, you name it, I was getting asked to make it! I only started making jewellery seriously in April 2011, although for years I have been tinkering with earrings and all things that sparkle. Back in April, I decided to try out a jewellery making workshop one evening after work, and from then, I was hooked! I had finally found something that offered me relief from the stresses and strains of a long term condition and an emotionally stressful job. Before long, my family and friends were asking me to make jewellery for them, both for every day wear and special occasions. When people started telling me I should sell my jewellery, I thought they were crazy! But with each passing day, the idea seemed more and more possible - what more perfect a job could there be for me, combining my love for card and jewellery making with being able to work from home and during hours that suited me. My aim is to make unique cards and pieces of jewellery that cater for all tastes and occasions. However, if there is something specific that you would like or need, please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will endeavour to do whatever I can to cater for your wishes.
