The time of dawning

February 1st, also known as the ancient fire festival - Imbolc. The cross quarter between the winter solstice and spring equinox, translating to ‘in the belly’ is the time when the earth is pregnant with seeds, awaiting to grow as the spring begins (this is the start of the time of dawning in the wheel of the year which runs all the way to Beltane, 1st May, where the spirit of summer is released!)

This arrival, bringing with it snowdrops, anemones, crocus and other bursts of colour: to me symbolises the New Year beginning.

To celebrate, I've arranged a full day workshop to anchor in an intention, to create a tool to hold close in your practice, meditation, yoga, life!

Due to being not so well this week, I’ve changed the date of this workshop to the 1st February - Imbolc!

This ancient fire festival, the cross quarter between the winter solstice and spring equinox, translating to ‘in the belly’ is the time when the earth is pregnant with seeds, awaiting to grow as the spring begins (this is the start of the time of dawning in the wheel of the year which runs all the way to Beltane - our Jack in the Green where the spirit of summer is released!)

On this full day, mala making workshop at the Wellington Centre, you will learn about, create, and chant with your own unique 108 bead mala made from semi precious crystal and seed beads 📿

Eye pillows are back!

After a few months hiatus (sorry, no sewing machine access or time! They take a while…) I’ve restocked almost all the colours of these beautiful linen, weighted lavender eye pillows.

I have a few extra beautiful colours available like black! Which I will list next week.

But for now… head over to Etsy to get the perfect Christmas present for anyone in your life who needs some rest! ☁️🤍

I made my first mala in 2018 to take on my 200hour Yoga Teacher Training (little did 18 year old me know how important that was!)

Looking back at what I accomplished, completely self-motivated at such a young age, does make me quite proud. Unfortunately, I fall prey to my own goal post constantly moving, and so rarely appreciating the little victories in life. It’s been a wild year, of incredible change, dreams happening, also forgetting to realise in the moment.

I’m bringing my Malas and co. To Rye Creative Centre this weekend for their Christmas fair.

Here is a little look back on a few moments in the Enchanted Malas journey, windy photoshoots mid-winter on camber sands (sorry friends!)

The blessed lock down days where the world stood still (and I caught the living by the fire desire) and my days were filled with knotting, foraging and listening to vinyl (we only had two plug sockets!)

To photographing my first mala range ‘wheel of the year’ and my first stall (with major help all the way from my mama who will also be at the fair this weekend)

When I first starter making malas, I would buy my tassels from a sweet elderly woman who lived in spain, in the following years she retired from making them and so I ended up making all of the tassels by hand!

I am left with a few of these short tassels, and I would love to clear some space ready for a re-invigoration of Enchanted Malas now that I am nestled into my new life living off-grid, surrounded by daily inspiration from the cyclic world.

In essence of this clearing, I am having a sale! There is 25% off of these shorter tassled malas (pictured in this carousel) as well as 25% off all mala charms (this is the final lot of mala charms and will not be re-made after)

I'm looking forward to weaving new, inspired malas this year and hope these ones will find their forever companions as they fulfil their purpose as tools for presence and spiritual development.

Enjoy! 🦋

Mantra Meditation - - Wednesdays 6:45-7:45pm

I’m looking forward to finally create a weekly space for a practice that I hold so dear, one that has become an anchor in my life and one of my greatest tools in my spiritual journey.

It is said that chanting is one of the best forms of meditation for the time we are in; with constant distraction, the mind often needs a focus.

By chanting Mantras, one is not just focusing the mind, but attuning the mind and body to the vibration of the sound the Mantra carries.

In this class you will learn a variety of Sanskrit (sacred language of yoga) mantras, taking time to break down pronounciation and meaning before chanting with Malas (meaditation beads) and singing with accompaniment of instruments.

Finally we will rest in silent meditation - where the observer and the observed become one.

- How To Chose Your Mala -

Each mala has a three word intention; tune in on where you are in your life right now, what would you like to focus on? and which areas may need assistance? Each mala holds a unique energy that you can work with at this time. You may also chose to work with them according to the wheel of the year, and using each around each different sabbat.
