EARTHY

Of salt,
Of earth,
Of light scattered on the sea.

The creation of Earthy was born this Summer, two sisters bouncing ideas back and forth turned into the idea to set up a studio shop together. The name Earthy comes from our Grannies Maiden name, and is a call back to the inspirational women in our family. Earthy is tied to a connection to the coastline where we have both grown up, amongst rock pools and sea winds, and light that scatters across moving water.

Midsummer Bonfire,
9ct gold Necklace with a Fair Trade Fire Citrine and Fair Trade Rubies.

This necklace is inspired by bonfires on the beach. In my family the start of summer is marked by the first bonfires on the beach, sitting on the top of the stones at gate 4 at Pett Level looking over the marshland on one side and the sea on the other.
In old Sussex bonfires were a huge part of celebrating midsummer. This piece celebrates the tradition of gathering round a fire in nature. The Rubies dance around the central fire citrine that glows through the night.

My Silver Stacking rings workshops are now back .waterworksroad
I have listed one for this coming Saturday as I wanted to bring them back this month but May is now looking rather busy!!
They will run roughly once a month on a Saturday and I’m thinking of adding a Thursday morning as an option too if there’s enough interest.

I’m very pleased to say my latest collection of contemporary engagement rings are now live on my website. The collection features five very different and unique rings that I’m extremely proud of, here’s a little bit about how this collection came about and what inspired them.

My newest collection of contemporary engagement rings take inspiration from the land and light at Pett Level Beach.

The pieces are a response to the natural environment, and the effect this place has on me. The rings intertwine inspiration from the natural elements. My process incorporates my own emotional response to Pett Level, which for me embodies hope, rest and play.

I believe in jewellery’s ability to conjure emotional responses to a moment or a memory, and acknowledge place as a vital element in relation to this. Looking to the landscape I grew up in, this collection weaves inspiration from the sky, the sea, and the land.

In forging my impressions in gold and silver I intend to share this meaning with the wearer.

Hello,
I’ve had a few questions recently about ordering from my website as some pieces have been out of stock for a while.

I will now be making to order on all silver jewellery, this will make everything more available to purchase. When you place an order on my website it’ll be handmade and dispatched within 8-10 working days.

I will still make jewellery in small batches for markets so some pieces may have a shorter turn around time but please check each listing before you make your purchase.
