Festival of the Sea returns to Grimsby on Saturday 20 June 2026, bringing a full day of seafood, culture, creativity and family-friendly activities to Alexandra Dock and Riverhead Square.

This much-loved event celebrates everything that makes Grimsby unique, from our world-famous seafood heritage to the stories, people and traditions that have shaped our town.

This year's festival will feature a brand new Seafood Village in Riverhead Square, with local seafood producers, street food, live cooking experiences and food tours.

Visitors can also enjoy cookery demonstrations hosted by chef Rachel Green, alongside students from the Grimsby Institute Seafood School and Duncan Lucas.

Alongside the food, there will be sea stories, performances, guided tours, public art and activities for all ages, helping bring Grimsby's maritime heritage to life.

It is also fantastic to see the newly opened CARE Hub playing a role in the festival, with the Ørsted Calm and Care Hub providing a welcoming space for anyone who may need a quieter moment away from the main event.

Festival of the Sea is a great example of how events can bring people together, celebrate local pride and create positive reasons to visit the town centre.
