A fairly close look at my daily driver - a bubble half sovereign coin ring mount, with a matching bezel, on a lovely frosty spring morning

This Ring has probably been worn by more people than any other ring on the planet, as every time I wear it out, a handful of people will ask to try it on - pretty surprised I haven’t lost it

As it’s a coin mount, the coin is displayed and protected in a little basket/bezel and can be removed at any point

Bloody love the texture on the side of this one! Kind of a woody/barky kinda thing.

And what a cool story behind this commission. They came to me after finding this coin out metal detecting, and wanted it put in a ring. So that’s exactly what I did.

Unlike all my other coin mounts which are removable. The customer wanted a closed back, and for the coin to be sealed in. This could’ve been done with a solid ring but it would’ve just weighed too much and been unbalanced making it uncomfortable. So I made it hollow.
