How cute are these little critters?

I thought they were chipmunks but a quick internet search tells me they are Barbary Ground Squirrels introduced to Fuerteventura in 1965.

They are quick and you need to be too if you want a place on April and May work shops as they are booking up.

A replacement wedding ring, maybe temporary, possibly permanent. Interlocked bands, one polished one hammered. I made myself one for my index finger and have worn it consistently since I made it. Great for fidgeters as you can roll the bands over when you are wearing it.

After a lovely workshop on Sunday, Sam & I have coordinated our diaries to book some new silver jewellery workshops in.

Any questions just drop me a message. If none of these dates work for you but you would like to make something, please get in touch and we can get something organised.

Planning an event for a birthday or similar? I can bring a workshop to you.

The second picture, I was taken with the colour of the glass in the sunlight and noticed the silver was a similar shape.

What a fabulously creative weekend, a sketching class with then a workshop with 3 gorgeous ladies making seaglass rings and pendants. Top tip, don’t use a 🍒 tablecloth when the makers are using red and green seaglass 🤣

Now I’m waiting for my Mother’s Day roast lamb. I hope everyone else has had the weekend they wanted 🥰

What I’m working on,

I tend to work on multiple projects at any one time, so I’m working on many things. One of my aims for this year is to keep practising my flush setting (pictured) to develop some new workshops (started) and to really try and develop some of my designs into collections.

I’m excited to be joining studios tomorrow for a jewellery design sketch booking workshop. I’m no artist and struggle to get my ideas onto paper so really looking forward to seeing how this may help.

I make because using hammers on people is frowned upon. Seriously I get such pleasure from playing with textures and heat and seeing the effects. I love the smile on people’s faces when I hand them their purchases or when they’ve spent a few hours in a workshop with me and made their own creation.

My workshop is my happy place, it’s easy to switch off from everything else around me while I make and listen to podcasts or music. I’m known for jumping when people walk in, the door is a patio door, there’s no way they are trying to hide!

All the textures on this one, circular pendant that’s a bit of a statement without being too much.

May make the same but one inside the other with the hanging loops through both.

This one would be a nice make with a group of friends, starting with the same components and seeing what you all come up with.

I nearly forgot! I love creating, texturing is my favourite, my first love is bangles, my second I’m not sure but I really love seaglass hunting and using what I find in my jewellery.

Mostly, I love making any type of jewellery, I was a fair way through life before I realised I could be creative! I also help others to make in workshops, which I love, kind of ironic as at 18 I’d planned to be a teacher but changed my mind.

Blue seems to be the goal when sea glass hunting but the greens look like emeralds when you spot them dropped on the shoreline by recent waves.

No natural light left by the time I set this beauty today.

You could make your own seaglass pendant next Sunday 10am.
