It’s been a busy few weeks as I close down my business after nine years to say goodbye to Fiodh, my whisky watch brand.
I find it hard to express the emotions I feel as I look back and reflect on all the highs and lows, which I will hold with me for the rest of my life.
I am grateful for all the amazing support I have received throughout the journey and the incredible partnerships I made with all the amazing businesses and organisations I had the pleasure to work with.
Saying goodbye to something you lived and breathed every day will be tough, but I think this is the right time to take what I have learnt and move forward, as life is too short to hold on just for the sake of being stubborn to not let go.
I have faced some of the most difficult economic climates in recent times, from Brexit, Covid, and the current cost of living, which has sadly affected sales and trading, especially trading outside the country, making it more unsustainable and more challenging than ever before.
I liked to believe I gave it a good go and definitely don’t regret any of it, as the experience I gained is invaluable.
When I started, I would never have imagined winning prestigious awards and having my products stocked around the country, to have worked with the biggest whisky distilleries in the world, and have my watches and clocks on arms and walls all over the globe.
Here are a few pictures from starting with a few components in a shoebox, sleeping rough in my workshops, building an award-winning brand, and some of my collaborations.
Thank you again for all the support.
