On this week’s workshop Wednesday, we’re taking a look at a customer’s 3 stone remount created by head jeweller, Michael.

The original ring is used to create a brand new shank which is the soldered on to the setting. The stones are then expertly set, including the beautiful ruby set with talon claws. The result is a beautiful bespoke 3 stone ring that our customer was thrilled to receive.

Carat weight doesn’t always tell the full story. 💎

Depending on the cut, the same carat weight can look completely different on the hand. A Round, Oval or Marquise diamond will each have different proportions and surface area, meaning some cuts can appear larger than others even at exactly the same carat weight.

It’s not just about the carat the cut and shape make all the difference.

Do box and papers really matter when buying a pre-owned Rolex? ⌚️

Yes, they can add value and make a watch more desirable, especially with older or collectable models.

But they’re not everything. Condition, originality, service history and buying from someone you trust are just as important.

A great Rolex without box and papers can still be a fantastic buy.

This week’s workshop Wednesday follows an interesting design for a 3 row diamond set ring. The customer had quite a few pieces with a lot of sentimental value, looking for them all to be incorporated.

Head jeweller, Michael was given the task to incorporate round and Princess cut stones into the outer rows of the ring, using his experience of over 35 years to combine multiple stone setting techniques. The result is a show stopping diamond ring that the customer will cherish for years to come.

The Scottish sun making a rare appearance this close to September? We had to take advantage. ☀️💎

So naturally, we took some of our stunning diamonds up to the rooftop — and just look at them sparkle.
