I think this might be a world first..

I always love getting a little sneak peek at the engravings you choose for your rings, it’s such a sweet way to add some secret detail to your design and I’m totally obsessed with this one!

Pippa and Paul are doctors who take care of humans by day and seagulls by night, and when they mentioned they’d love a little nod to their favourite winged patient in their ring, I had an idea - a tiny, subtle silhouette engraved on the inside of the band! 🕊️

I’m so pleased with how it turned out - and so was Peep, their friendly neighbourhood gull, who gave it his seal of approval when they introduced him to the ring.

The ring itself features a marquise lab grown diamond with round and marquise accents, all set in yellow gold - and just as beautiful from the side as from the birds eye view 😉

Alex designed this ring for Josey, and he proposed last year surrounded by nature - fitting, since that’s where this couple love to spend time together 🌿 They actually met in a nature reserve, so the outdoors was a big inspiration for her ring!

Alex knew Josey would love something traditional but a bit different - nothing too extravagant, but with bright colours, a touch of quirkiness, and delicate details. He’d seen a twisted band I’d made before and loved the idea of a woven, organic design. So we wove three strands of 18k yellow gold together, added this gorgeous pear-shaped natural sapphire in a shifting greeny-blue, and two round Canadian diamonds to complete the look. Happily, Josey said yes! 💍

Now I need your help settling a perennial question: pear pointing up or down? I can never decide!

Hey, happy new year! Here are some favorites from my camera roll over the past few weeks – a mesmerising mix of gemstones destined for custom jewellery celebrating marriages and births, a wee trip to Germany to spend time with my friend, and Christmas in Glasgow and Thurso with family (and a couple of playful seals 🦭)

Dappled sunlight on Fern’s engagement ring, captured by the day after she said yes! 🍃🌿

It was a joy working with Carl to come up with this design, inspired by nature and featuring elegant leaves curving around the band. We scattered diamonds into the platinum to complement the pretty green sapphire, and Carl found the perfect moment to propose to Fern beside the sea.

What a ring, what a moment! Thank you for letting me be part of it and congratulations Carl & Fern! x

There’s something so moving about a couple choosing their own centre stone - especially when it happens on the very holiday where they got engaged! While James and Francesca were travelling through Tanzania, they searched high and low to find this beautiful unheated tanzanite, and it instantly felt like the one.

It was a pleasure to design their ring around it - a sleek Art Deco layout, subtle but architectural, with baguette and trilliant diamonds framing the tanzanite. I love how the double pointed prongs in 18ct yellow gold complement the focal stone and play so beautifully with its intriguing colour.

This dreamy opal necklace was made for Paola - a beautiful birthday gift from her loved ones 🥰

She chose a stunning Australian boulder opal, paired with a sentimental diamond and heirloom gold chain - weaving together family jewels to create a meaningful, sustainable piece ⛓️✨

Claire & Julia’s engagement rings have been greeting visitors to my website homepage for a while now, but it’s about time they were featured here! What a cute pair 🥰

Julia’s ring features a shield shaped teal sapphire from Montana, set at an angle in a cool partial bezel. We paired it with a colour-changing alexandrite baguette and a round moissanite, and textured the gold band with a rustic finish 💙

Claire’s ring features an asymmetric spinel from Sri Lanka, paired with a swiss blue topaz baguette and matching round moissanite. I love how the bypass style band hugs the gemstones and gives a little vintage feeling to a modern cluster of gemstones 🩶

Loved making these rings, and their matching wedding rings! Thank you Claire & Julia 🥰🫶

Matching engagement rings, made for Natalie & Dominic 💍

Dominic surprised Natalie with this gorgeous custom made Art Deco-inspired trilogy ring, and she said yes! Then Natalie & I created this funky asymmetric gold ring for Dom, with three diamonds in a nod to hers, and secret matching engravings inside 🥰

Congratulations to the happy couple! It was a dream to make your rings 🤍

Hello! There are quite a few new faces joining us here, so I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself 👋

I’m Megan, and I started Saint Teneu back in 2019. I create custom jewellery (mostly engagement and wedding rings) from my design studio here in Glasgow, where I love hearing your stories and seeing your ideas take shape. I still can’t quite believe this is my life! 💍

A wee bit about me: I’m 35 and live in Glasgow with my husband, Jonny. This weekend I’ve been up in Caithness - my dad took this photo just before Louise and Jennifer’s wedding dance, right outside my childhood home 💕

I love to read non-fiction and take long city walks with friends. I’m super curious and love to learn - at the moment I’m learning to code, and soon I’ll be learning to sew (being able to turn imagination into reality feels like magic ✨).

Louise found her soulmate in Jennifer 🥹🥰

It was extra special to make these rings for them, because Louise & I go way back - we became friends in high school in Thurso, then studied and lived together in Glasgow. I’ll always remember the day I met Jennifer, it was so clear that they were meant to be together!!

It was a real honour to make this matching pair of rings for them, and to be back home this weekend to celebrate their marriage!! Congratulations Jennifer & Louise and here’s to a lifetime of happiness together 💖

It was an honour to work with Najim to create Anisa’s engagement ring 💍♥️

He chose this beautiful slender oval diamond, and we detailed the shoulders with overlapping leaves and a mix of marquise and round diamonds - I love the subtle hint of colour from the little mint green diamonds.
