Threads & Treasures is here 🥰.
(Apologies for the essay!! I don’t think id ever even wrote this much at school 🤣)
Hello to all the amazing followers, and beyond 🩷. My name is Chloe (with little Woody by my side 🐱) and I thought I would reintroduce myself as this is a new business 😊.
Since I was little I have always loved anything to do with creativity and sadly lost the spark for it growing up. However my passion was reignited after I got sober in September of 2023, from a hard battle of addiction. Since January 2023 i had challenged myself to learn something new each month - still doing it now! 😊
With that, my nana and i went to a craft shop and i gave cross-stitching a go, although me and cross stitch didn’t quite click, that soon lead to embroidery and i am now OBSESSED with creating hand embroidered art 🤩.
Me and My ex partner Allex created McMac Creations, which was a merge of both our surnames. I loved everything about McMac, but it was time to move on from that to expand and grow 😊. With that, I have learned so many skills. As a neurodivergent with ASD and ADHD I thought I would struggle with a business but I’ve proved myself wrong and can’t wait to see this build and becoming my forever passion 💚
After a while my next huge thing was jewellery. So I started to learn how to make more and more, incorporating resin in a lot of my pieces. I like to make loads of unique things as well as the “on the menu” items as I like to call it 🫶🏻
I’m very thankful to have 2 lovely local business ladies to help and guide me through this new beginning, out of the kindness of their hearts. Heather from Darcy and Bear, and Kayleigh from Kayleigh Rose Prints 🧡
The goal? To become a business for everyone. Teaching and sharing the love to create. The reason i steered away from my name completely is because one day this will not just be me, but be a big business full of people in recovery and other neurodivergent people like me learning new skills and finding new hobbies. As people we struggle sometimes to find enjoyment but i believe this will be not only my business, but a little community.
Outside of threads and treasures i love to travel - near and far, as well as singing, gaming and going to all my groups and volunteering when i can 🥰.
And of course, i have such a huge thanks to give to everyone who has helped and supported, not only that but have believed in me. Special thanks to family and friends, my BANG, Borders in Recovery and We Are With You families, everyone at the groups and behind the scenes of the groups, lovely Vikki, Tara, and Alison, reivers, Annie’s cafe, The Hyre Co, Studio 70 and Michael Pauls Crafted Creations for allowing me to stock my products in your establishments, and every single one of you that likes, shares, comments and purchases. And every other single person 👏🏻 it means so much. 🩷
Let’s do this 🙏🏻
