I am Jessica and I run jewellery classes in Hampshire. Originally I had no intension of teaching. When I set up my jewellery business under the name Frivolities back in 2016, I was happily tinkering away, making and selling jewellery. When I moved to Winchester and joined an artist collective at The Colour Factory Studios, they encouraged me to start teaching Beginners Classes and it turned out I
absolutely love it! There is something quite special about meeting new students, watching their excitement as they solder for the first time or how impressed they are with their own skills and achievements when they leave wearing their own piece of sparkling jewellery! It’s become a real passion of mine. Over the years, as well as creating Made To Order collections and one off commission pieces, I am very proud to have welcomed hundreds of students into my classes and share the Silversmithing bug with them. Many come back again to build on their skills and some have even gone on to set up their own incredible jewellery businesses. Since having my daughter in 2021, teaching is very much my focus when it comes to work. I hope to get back to the workshop and begin making jewellery again in the coming year, but in the mean time I am very happy to be finding new venues in Hampshire and teaching you lovely lot!
