We now have more options for those with sensitive skin:
🩶925 Sterling Silver
925 sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver, which is naturally hypoallergenic. The remaining 7.5% is usually copper, which is added to give the silver strength and durability. Sterling silver is a popular choice for sensitive skin.
💎316L Stainless Steel
316L stainless steel is a strong, corrosion-resistant alloy and is often considered one of the better choices for sensitive skin. Its enhanced corrosion resistance helps minimise irritation, and our 316L ear wires and head pins are AnchorCert certified for skin safety. They are hypoallergenic and an excellent choice for everyday wear, particularly for sensitive ears.
✨18K Gold Plated 304 Stainless Steel
Our 18K gold-plated pieces are made using high-quality 304 stainless steel, finished with a layer of 18K gold for a beautiful, polished look. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and generally less reactive than metals such as brass, making it a popular choice for sensitive ears.
The 304 stainless steel does contain nickel, so while these pieces can be a great option for many people with sensitive skin, they may not be suitable for those with a severe nickel allergy, particularly with prolonged skin contact.
