Christina & Toby

I first met Christina and Toby through Sara, and I am incredibly grateful for both the recommendation and the trust they placed in me to create their wedding rings.

Toby's ring carries a very special story. Using inherited family gold and his Nan's platinum wedding band, we wanted to preserve the original piece rather than alter it beyond recognition. The platinum was carefully rolled and hand-hammered into the new wedding band, creating a seamless inlay without a solder joint, allowing a part of his family's story to remain with him every day.

For Christina's ring, I handcrafted a platinum wishbone band to sit perfectly alongside her engagement ring, setting it with beautiful Ceylon sapphires and diamonds to create a piece that felt elegant, timeless and uniquely hers.

This short video shows a little of the journey behind the scenes; melting the gold, handcrafting the bands, rolling the platinum, hand-hammering it into place and setting the stones one by one.

Congratulations Christina & Toby.

Thank you both for allowing me to be a small part of your forever.

A quiet little moment in the workshop.

Placing this beautiful pear diamond and watching the ring finally start coming to life.

More to come soon.

Mason and Ellen are a beautiful couple, very close friends and people I care about deeply.

Mason first came to me wanting to surprise Ellen with a special piece of jewellery. But more importantly, he wanted her to be part of the journey too, so together we started designing something that would be both beautiful and practical enough to be worn every day.

We decided on a solid top bangle with a linked section underneath. Not only does it look elegant, but it also makes it much more comfortable and practical for everyday wear.

Once the bangle was handmade, we knew it needed something more. We chose to hand engrave a flowing wave pattern around the piece and set beautiful diamonds through the design, allowing them to follow the movement of the engraving.

Every stage of this piece was done by hand. From melting the gold, making the bangle, setting the diamonds and hand engraving the final details, it was a true labour of love.

Knowing that something I created with my own hands has brought so much happiness, not only to Ellen but to both of them as a couple, means more than I can put into words.

Thank you both for trusting me.

Sending lots of love,

Frankie

This ring has been a real pleasure to work on.

My customer originally came to me with a beautiful emerald cut diamond half eternity ring and wanted to create something completely different whilst keeping the original diamonds.

After a lot of planning, designing and refining, we settled on a larger centre diamond with the four original emerald cut diamonds either side. Every stone was carefully positioned to make sure the proportions, spacing and overall balance were exactly right.

The finished design looks effortless, but getting to that stage takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes. From developing the design and making adjustments, to creating the setting, hand-cutting every seat and ensuring each diamond fits perfectly.
I even found myself modifying and making tools specifically for parts of this build, simply because I wanted everything to be exactly as planned.

What makes this project even more special is that my customer has a great deal of experience with jewellery herself. She trusted the process from the beginning, and after collecting the ring, she took the time to come back and personally thank me again. Moments like that mean more than I can put into words.

I'm incredibly grateful for the trust, patience and freedom to create.
And as always, the pictures and videos don't quite do it justice.

Remodelling a customer's existing diamonds into a new piece.
These 2.3mm tapered baguette diamonds may look identical at first glance, but every one is slightly different in width. That means each seat has to be cut individually and adjusted to the exact stone.
Time-consuming work, but worth every minute when everything starts lining up perfectly.
Coming along nicely.
More soon.

I met Sue quite a while ago when she trusted me to use some of her old diamonds and turn them into new pieces of jewellery filled with meaning and memories.

Now she came back again, this time asking me to be part of her son’s journey and help create his engagement ring.

She really wanted to use one of the family diamonds as the main stone, keeping that sentimental connection alive through another generation. But naturally there was a worry the round diamond may feel too small on its own in today’s world where social media is full of huge diamonds in every shape and size.

From the very beginning, her son was deeply involved in the process and every decision was made together. I always love when somebody truly wants to take part in creating a ring for the person they love, because it makes the piece even more personal.

Together we came up with the idea of creating an oval illusion setting using the inherited round diamond in the centre, with two additional diamonds set vertically to create the look and flow of one beautiful oval stone.

The setting itself had to be very intricate because we didn’t want the eye to focus on claws or settings. We wanted the three diamonds to feel soft, elegant and almost as one.

We then finished the design with two beautiful pear shaped lab grown diamonds on the shoulders which balanced the ring perfectly.

I truly believe there is something beautiful about bringing inherited diamonds together with modern lab grown diamonds and creating a new piece with its own story to tell.

The final ring feels elegant, clean and unique while still keeping the heart of the original family diamond at the centre of it all.

Congratulations to both of you, and thank you for trusting me to be part of such an important chapter in your lives.

Inlaying a solid gold band into the centre.

A slow and precise process, but it’s starting to come together beautifully.

Full process video coming soon. Exciting.

A very special piece for some very special people.

I first met Barry a few years ago when he trusted me to make an engagement ring for one of his sons. Recently, he came back through the door with another important mission for his other son.

We worked together using family diamonds, an inherited sapphire full of meaning, and recycled 18ct yellow gold from the family to create something completely personal.

We designed the ring together through CAD, printed multiple wax models, and adjusted every detail until his son was completely happy. The setting was cast in platinum, while the rest was handmade by me in the workshop.

A lot of trust and a lot of meaning behind one ring.

Thank you Barry, and congratulations to the happy couple.
