Bats & Pieces Quirky and unique jewellery and accessories for those with alternative/gothic tastes. I use many different materials and techniques in my own darker style.

I love to craft things, especially jewellery. I like gothic and alternative styles and lots of witchy stuff! I have worked in the jewellery trade for over 20 years but started making my own jewellery as I wanted something different and quirky. Then other people started wanting to buy things I was making and it all grew from there! I am passionate about supporting small local businesses and crafter

s, as these are the people with the most exciting and brilliant ideas! I spend a lot of time in Whitby with my family and friends and get quite a bit of inspiration from this lovely little town, especially the beautiful gothic abbey. I also love bats, they are my favourite animal and gave me the idea for the name of my shop. All my pieces are made with love and I hope you love them too!

Well that’s Litha (midsummer) done and gone past in a blur! The wheel turns and the year marches on. I do hope you and yours all had a good one, but I can’t believe how fast this year is going. I think it’s always good to take time to pause and ground myself, especially at this time of things growing and bursting into life all around us. Other wise things get too crazy and hectic. Then before you know it, it’s Yule! 😱
