To mark Ruth Tomlinson’s visit to Edinburgh this Saturday, we’ll be joined by .scot from 12.30-2.30pm, serving Louët-Feisser oysters with foraged beach rose dressing, alongside vegan caviar and sparkling wine.

Inspired by the coastal textures and natural forms that run throughout Ruth’s work, the menu has been specially created for the event.

Ruth will be in store from 11am-5pm for private appointments and to showcase her latest trunk show collection. Whether you’re joining us for an appointment or dropping in to explore the collection, we’d love to see you!

They picked the Sitara Baguette Asymmetric Trilogy Ring by - the stepped arrangement of the diamonds creating a distinctive linear design and the varying proportions giving the ring a sculptural, architectural and timeless feel.

It’s not hard to see why cluster rings have remained popular for centuries! 🌺

Set with old-cut diamonds totalling approximately 2.3cts, this remarkable example we recently sourced has all the sparkle and scale you could hope for.

The cluster itself is likely antique with beautifully lively old-cut stones that catch the light from every angle. Despite its age, it feels surprisingly current on the hand with the kind of scale and presence that’s increasingly difficult to find.

One of our favourite recent discoveries 🔍

We recently sourced this exceptional solitaire ring, featuring an antique cushion-cut diamond estimated at approximately 2cts, set in a substantial vintage 18ct gold mounting. The diamond is much older than the setting itself - combining the character and imperfect charm of an antique stone with the bold, sculptural simplicity of late twentieth-century design.

A real statement piece with incredible presence and wow factor - we’ll be sad to part with this one!

Introducing our second Summer Resident | Alice Biolo.

Originally from Padova and now based in Glasgow, Alice creates jewellery and objects that encourage interaction and discovery. Her work often incorporates kinetic elements, inviting the wearer or viewer to engage with a piece over time.

A graduate of The Glasgow School of Art, Alice has exhibited internationally and is known for creating pieces that reveal new layers of meaning the longer you spend with them.

We’re delighted to welcome Alice to ætla this summer. Stay tuned as we share more about her practice and the work she’ll be bringing to the residency.

From 6th–14th June, we’ll be hosting an extended trunk show with British jeweller Ruth Tomlinson, featuring both new designs and much-loved signature pieces. Ruth herself will be in store on Saturday 6th June for private appointments.

Known for her beautifully organic settings, granular textures and unconventional stones, Ruth’s work has become a favourite for those looking for engagement rings and fine jewellery that feel deeply personal and unlike anything else.
