Lorna’s Mushroom Moss Ring 🍄
The most elaborate fidget ring made to date 💫
Using heirloom yellow gold, two sapphires, ten diamonds and and one opal, Lorna wanted a ring design that mimicked dew drop moss and mushrooms growing out of it.
Carved out of wax and cast using her own gold before flush setting and bezel setting the diamonds and opal. I found sawing the bezels into a star shape was a rewarding design feature to look more like a mushroom whilst also making it easier to set the stones. The sapphires were set into riveted bezel settings that can be spun freely and won’t irritate the finger on the inside of the ring.
