The optical, Lightway crystal daylight collector made of Czech crystal on the roof and on the walking terrace does not turn yellow, turn gray and does not scratch, as is the case with normal sun tunnels, which have domes made of plastic. Thanks to its optical properties, it collects enough daylight even when it is cloudy in winter.

The patented thermal insert for sun tunnels Lightway Blue Performance prevents heat loss in winter and heat gains in summer. And most importantly, it prevents water condensation in the daylight pipe. Normal sun tunnels are like a closed chimney. Inside, the air heats up and rises up to the roof, where it cools and the water begins to condense and the sun tunnel dews. Then the water starts to flow to the floor in the room where the sun tunnel is installed.

The Daylight pipe Lightway is made of seven nano-layers, one of which is sterling silver and the other are made of silicon oxides. It has almost 100% reflectivity for daylight. It can guide daylight up to a distance of 120 meters from the crystal daylight collector and can change direction by 90 degrees 5 times along the way. The warranty is 25 years. It does not modify the natural colors of daylight, as is the case with normal sun tunnels, which have a reflective layer in polished aluminum pipes or glued, polymeric reflective foil that peels quickly and crumbles on the aluminum surface. When viewed closely, you can see the uneven structure of the orange peel, which destroys good reflectivity to daylight. Such a sun tunnel soon becomes blind and gradually ceases to shine.

The daylight diffuser with which the Lightway ends in the room on the ceiling is made of sodium-potassium, optical glass.

Watch out for sun tunnels that have a window on the roof. A window on the roof that has flat glass. This reflects off up to 30% of the daylight, which then does not get inside the sun tunnel. In addition, the flat surface of the glass on the roof gets very dirty and bird droppings stick to it and the sun tunnel does not light up.

You have much more daylight inside your house than from roof windows or skylights.
