Hello world! I'm Kate, and this my new venture: Woodkin! It's been a while in the making, I've been working to get everything off the ground before the end of the year and we are almost there.
What a year aye? If there was an award for worst year ever, 2020 would certainly take the crown. No matter how dark the cloud there is always a silver lining. For lucky folk like myself, it has been a chance to take a break from the rat race, explore other avenues, learn new skills and transform lives for the better.
I originally started this account under a different name, . Having left London for Dorset in March before Lockdown pt.1, I set my mind to explore traditional dyeing techniques and grow my foraging skills. So, I spent summer dyeing t-shirts with plants in my garage. In September I was very lucky to be selected for a free course, learning how to build a using sustainable building techniques. Working with wood again ignited something, and since then I haven't stopped creating! I'll be sharing and promoting my creations here, so I hope you love them as much as I do.
Here's to 2021! Let's hope we have a healthy and productive year ahead of us 😘
