So...a little about me. After being a hairdresser for 37 years, working for others and having my own salon. My body (and husband) said it was time to hang up my scissors. As I have always been creative and love interior design, I decided to start painting furniture, and fell in love with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I have sold many pieces and also taken commissions. Bringing old unloved furniture bac

k to life, with a little splash of colour and a lot of pzazz. Each item is unique,
and transformed with love. I then had a family wedding and made the bouquet, and all the accessories. Making all the flowers and adding jewellery from our family. And this has progressed into making Heirloom Horseshoes for brides, which I love. So...being quite diverse with my crafts, it stops me from getting bored. I try to fit in normal life, bike riding, walks, and holidays with my wonderful husband Gray. Enjoy my page, and interact as much possible, Shabbily Fabulous is always open for a chat... # # #

Amy Chalmers is a Bostonian, a Francophile, a designer with a great eye, well known blogger and now I have discovered she is a terrific artist too. She has painted this grand piano truly magnificently for her home.
The entire piano is painted in Old White with a blue stamping on the outside. The interior of the piano lid has a landscape painted in all of Annie Sloan colors to include Olive, Duck Egg Blue, Chateau Grey and Country Grey. She used water to make it dreamy looking and dry brushed Old White over the scene when she finished to soften the scene. Find out more here; https://www.instagram.com/amymaisondecor
