We have two large ceiling light fittings new in. Please excuse the dodgy photos .. they are not easy to photo! One has 5 pendant lights . The other has 5 candle fittings and inside the shade. Please ask to see them as we have them in the back room. £20 each

We have some old chemistry and pharmacy text-books, dating 1940-1949. Obviously specialist subjects but nevertheless really interesting - in 1948 virtually all medicines were prepared from plants. The Textbook of Pharmacognosy explains in detail how to use them. Pharmacy students at that time, took a 6 months course in Latin to understand the dosage and frequency of the medicine as scribbled by the doctors! All these books are displayed in the book hub in the Initiative Shop. Feel free to come and browse!

Our book window this week is a special treat for anyone interested in vintage racing motor bikes. In particular we have the "Motor Cycling Year Books from 1952 to 1956" in very good conditions. They are much sought after, and sell online at a considerable price!

Highlights of the week are a special collection of Punch Magazines from 1893 and 1894 and several books on the history of the Salvation Army!
