COOPERS YARD OPEN STUDIOS - Coopers Yard is a creative community hidden away just off Crystal Palace highstreet. The yard itself is the vision of the owner who has, over 25 years, lovingly restored and reimagined the yard using reclaimed ironwork & a unique creative approach. The yard is also home to a secret cinema used for private events, a shed that transforms into a pub (and sometimes serves our own beer brewed from hops grown in the yard) and about 20 artists, makers and creatives. Pop in on the 20th or 21st June between 11am - 5pm where some of the resident artists will be opening their studios to the public. The yard only opens twice a year in this way so don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of the yard artist open house

NEW DESIGNS ~ I’ve been a bit quite as a prep for an exciting exhibition in September and have been using the time to do some new designs. I am leaning into my signature style and have designed a new 2in1 ring and a 3in1 ring. I always have a silver prototype cast so I can see how it works in metal before i invest in the gold pieces. These type of rings have been something I’ve loved since college & represents the evolution and constant change of the human experience. The coming apart, coming together cycle I seem to constantly move through. Watch this space to see how they turn out.

REMODEL ~ When three become one! It’s always a technical and creative challenge to receive 3 rings to be remodelled into one design that is balanced and wearable. We didn’t use all of the stones but most of them are included and all the metal was repurposed. It was really fun working with the client on this one with many iterations of art deco inspired designs filling my drawing book. I think the one that was chosen in the end really compliments her stones and the use of both white and yellow gold.

SO THIS IS LOVE ~ I’ve been working on this lovely engagement ring in the background, and am so pleased to be able to share it with you. Remodelled from an inherited platinum diamond engagement ring and wedding band. Ready to start a new chapter in celebrating the engagement of the original owner’s granddaughter. Such a lovely legacy. AUTUMN VIBES in a ring. Just had to share this video in the sun of how the Imperial topaz, green sapphires, diamonds and citrines came together to create this one of a kind ring. I love the balance of all the colours, and it reminds me of my favourite seasonal quote “autumn reminds us of the beauty of letting go”. Which for this client was very powerful as this ring symbolises letting go of the past and celebrating her life now after some really tough times.

MADE FOR YOU ~ These were a birthmas (Christmas & birthday) gift for a special someone. She wanted teal coloured gemstones so I hunted around for the perfect colour, which I definitely found. The colour on these are so vibrant. The diamond earring jackets mean she can change them up whenever she wants a different look. Everyday and statement in one set. Which do you prefer?
