Some of our activities recently, concentrating on transport.
The children have enjoyed mark making, spotting different forms and colours of transport whilst out on our walks, making fruit rockets for snack, making rockets to blast into space using straws, singing transport songs during rhyme time and opening our own car wash!!! All this and there is still more to come...

This might be something that interests any children starting primary in September 2026 in the local area... a good chance to meet and make friends before the first day ♡

To celebrate World Earth day today we ventured out to our local park/field and helped keep our planet clean.

We borrowed some litter pickers from our friend Vaughan and spoke to a local council worker who supplied us with some bin bags etc.

The children thoroughly enjoyed collecting rubbish for almost 2 hours whilst we spoke about the dangers of litter in our environment for both humans and animals.

Our little people made some flower paintings and took a trip to pick their mummy's some flowers.

World book day was a success!!!

Today's beautiful weather encouraged us to take our learning to the beach. We began our world book day activities with "Harry and a Bucket Full of Dinosaurs" the children absolutely loved role playing with the dinosaurs, collecting shells/rocks and digging to find sand to make a dinosaur swamp.
We had a picnic, practiced our ball skills with football on the field and finished with a game of tag.

We have recently been exploring Arctic animals. We have enjoyed helping penguins race down the ice slides, watching them crash into each other as they meet at the bottom.
We have had conversations about whether ice is hot or cold and what conditions Arctic animals like to live in. The children expressed that they wouldn't like to live in the freezing cold weather. We learnt that although the Arctic is cold, the animals have skin/fur that is created to keep them warm.
The children have also enjoyed completing some Arctic animals puzzles.
