Seaglass and very cool rock collected from Seaham over the weekend, not that I really needed more seaglass, but it seemed silly not to while I was there. I need to do some practice before I set a couple of emeralds and an opal for someone - and then I won't be doing any custom work for the foreseeable. If only because I need to find my making mojo again after a much needed break 😊

As I'm moving from the shop, I'm selling off a few bits on marketplace - including the little writing bureau that everyone has tried to buy over the last six years , and my beloved twisted hazel stems.
I can't deliver any of these things unfortunately, but it's easy enough to collect from the shop.

It's Dydd Santes Dwynwen on Saturday, and I'm still open... Admittedly I'm mostly flogging off shop fittings on marketplace, but I still have a cabinet of my jewellery for sale , and I'm selling off my Silk Kantha scarves at £10 each.
I'll be packing both of these up after the weekend, and won't be selling again until I'm set up in my new workshop, so if there's anything you fancy for Saturday, or Valentine's, then call in and have a look.

Happy new year all! It's that time of year when I have to de-christmassify the window, and indeed de-FIN the entire shop, as I will be closing here at the end of this month.
I will not be giving up making or selling my work, it's just become completely unviable to run the shop in Colwyn Bay any longer. I will instead be moving, to dedicated workshop/studio premises, and returning to selling through other channels and online sales.

As much as I am sad that I've put so much in over the last 6½ years, and it's not worked out, I'm VERY relieved that I will no longer have the pressure and restriction of opening hours/overheads fighting with the personal commitments I currently have.

Thanks to all my customers for their unwavering support, you've all been lovely and welcome visitors. Some have kept me fed, others kept me company and all have kept me in business ❤️

I have some items of furniture and cabinets to sell off before the move, so I will pop all on here as and when I decide what I'm not taking with me.

Third of three 'scrap bin' bracelets that I've found to finish off. These are made from links I form from things that have gone wrong. It takes a bit of work to make them sit together nicely, but I love the end results. Completely unique, always one of a kind guaranteed.
Slightly longer sized than the last one, and shiny silver with individually organically textured links.
Hallmarked sterling silver.

Second of three 'scrap bin' bracelets that I've found to finish off. These are made from links I form from things that have gone wrong. It takes a bit of work to make them sit together nicely, but I love the end results. Completely unique, always one of a kind guaranteed.

First of three 'scrap bin' bracelets that I've found to finish off. Honestly, I'm a liability - easily distracted just doesn't cover it. These are made from links I form from things that have gone wrong. It takes a bit of work to make them sit together nicely, but I love the end results. Completely unique, always one of a kind guaranteed.
Anyhoo, this one is a smaller fitting one for the r**t petite ones out there, and is oxidised/buffed off to reveal a bit of texture.

Right, so I'm not the most organised person on the planet, so to those misunderstood idiots like me out there, who need things to be elsewhere before Christmas, here are the last posting dates.

All my jewellery goes out by Special Delivery as standard, so if you did want something, it would arrive with you before Christmas.

Recently finished (and quite late, thanks leg) emerald wedding rings, with stones supplied by the customer. Quite possibly the most awkwardly shaped stones I've ever attempted to set... But we got there!
