Celebrating the Golden Anniversary of Coles the Jewellers on Chipping Norton High Street

This July, Coles the Jewellers is proud to celebrate its Golden Anniversary—50 years on Chipping Norton’s High Street, marking half a century of serving the local community with trusted, personal service.

The business was founded in 1976 by Stuart Cole and his wife Anita, who recognised that Chipping Norton was missing a local jeweller and decided to take the leap into independent retail. From day one, the business became part of the fabric of the town—helping customers celebrate life’s biggest moments, from engagement rings and wedding bands to treasured repairs and everyday watch care.

Since Stuart and Martyn took over the business in 2003, Coles the Jewellers has continued to adapt with the times while staying true to its original values. As an independent, family-run jeweller, we’ve had the privilege of serving generations of local families—often welcoming grandparents, parents and now grandchildren through our doors.

In an ever-changing High Street, we are incredibly proud to have remained a constant presence for five decades. Thank you to our loyal customers and the Chipping Norton community for your support—we look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
