Whether that’s trading in the car for walking and cycling on short journeys, switching to LED bulbs or making sure our house is well insulated to avoid popping the heating on every time there’s a chill in the air. Welcome to Don’t do a Dodo!

Don’t do a Dodo was thought up by two energy industry experts with the ambition of making it easier for everyday energy consumers to make sustainable changes to their usage.

We all know how overwhelming it can be to make a regular energy switch, let alone facing that decision when riddled with feelings of guilt and other barriers that have so far prevented you from going green; can you afford it? Who can you trust? What changes actually make a difference? Is a simple, minimum-hassle switch possible? Does it make a worthwhile difference? Does collaboration with your neighbours help the process?

If you have ever ruminated over these potential barriers, you may be relieved to know that most people have shared your experience. We will use our insider expertise to show you that the answer to all of the above questions is ‘yes’. And the solution can often be found by collaborating with your community, whatever that may be.

If we get enough interest, we will help establish ‘carbon clubs’: communities of like-minded people that club together to share environmentally friendly resources with each other. This will greatly reduce individual energy bills and their associated bureaucracy, whilst making a far greater difference to the environment than any individual can hope to achieve alone.
