21 jewellers were paired in a continuous chain so that each jeweller was both commissionee and commissioner. The brief to send their appointed jeweller something be it an object, a poem but nothing precious that highlighted something important or was just for fun, to be incorporated or used as a prompt for a one-off piece of jewellery. Their correspondence being part of the exhibition too.
