Such a gorgeous morning today, making these sea glass rings πŸ’

A hive of activity, in the new workshop, with some new faces, some recent faces, and some from the garage workshop where this whole journey began!

We had a bit of a fun time crawling around on the floor looking for a tiny bit of seaglass, luckily it had a twin! πŸ˜…

Really exciting to see these come together, and also to chat about the possibilities of what is to come in this new space 😊

Pictures of the new workshop will be coming soon!

I really enjoyed today, a little one to one session to make this ring for a special someone who is miles away. We used brass for the setting to compliment the colour of the seaglass, and it just so happened that the seaglass had this lovely faceting on it, which I love. Amazing attention to detail, and loved hearing stories about past jewellery making experiences in the jungle in Bali!

A collaboration with my 92 year old Grandad, who turned this bowl, and wanted to give it as a gift to another Rose in South Africa. The theme was Roses, which was surprisingly hard, until I found some illustrations of dog roses and fell in love with the idea of less glamorous roses for the design. It was a long job drilling and then piercing out the lines, but I actually really enjoyed this project. Really different from anything I've done before, and also meaningful to be doing it alongside my grandads craftsmanship.

Seven shiny spinner rings sparkling in the sun 🌞

What a busy day it's been today, and hive of activity in the workshop, making these gorgeous rings.

It was satisfying to see them coming together, and spinning away at the end.

To make spinner rings, we make all the rings first, then the final bit is putting them all together, by hammering them to splay them out - so only a tiny bit nerve wracking πŸ˜…

What a fun day of casting it has been today, with lots of old jewellery being brought in to recycle and melt down to re-make into new jewellery!

Nothing beats opening the mould to find a cast you were dubious about has actually worked! πŸ’ͺ

Yesterday, we had a sunny, sea glass ring making day!

I was gorgeous to spend the day making these while chatting, tea drinking, biscuit eating, and laughing.

A familiar face, and some new ones, is always lovely 😊

Tomorrow, we go again for silver bangles, rings, and cuffs, excited 😊

Yey, for springtime, Spinner rings!

It's been a lovely private workshop with a brilliant group of women who laughed, worked hard, and thoroughly enjoyed making these beautiful rings!

My favourite is when they go straight on, and are worn home, which all of these did today ☺️

It's been a happy Sunday today, making wedding rings with a couple, on the two year anniversary of their proposal.

I loved hearing the wedding plans to hike up and get married on a Scottish mountain, too.

Absolutely lovely to also have some intermittent visits from their 3 month old, and I even got to have a little squidge πŸ₯Ή πŸ‘£.

Now these will be sent to the london assay office for hallmarking, and also will be engraved on the inside.

Another fun workshop today, making rings, cuffs and bangles..

We made an extra large bangle, so had to get creative, and use an upturned pot as a bangle mandrel! (See last picture)

I love the bangle with every member of its maker's family stamped on it, a lot of patience needed for 8 names!

We also spent some time making a little hole for a cabochon cup to sit in, so the setting would be lower than if we soldered it to the top. I loved the outcome of this.
