I’ll be going from plant buying to relieving my youth this weekend thanks to

I had a coffee with a friend this week and she was thanking me for setting up a gig Whatsapp group for a bunch of us to book tickets together. We both said how reconnecting with gigs feels like finding our younger selves again. Still there despite whatever the years have thrown at us.

I was 15/16 when I first fell in love with the Furries, buying all the music, watching them gig at the Riverside in Newcastle.

Years later the Welsh music scene was one of the reasons I knew I’d be happy to move to Cardiff as a journalist. While they say never meet your heroes I was once 24 hours late for an interview with Griff due to a mix up. He wasn’t bothered, made me a cuppa and said it gave him a chance to do the hoovering.

Their music has been a part of my life for decades, partying, friends weddings, blearily signing Fire in My Heart to my newborn to get him to sleep and then dancing in the kitchen years later.

So while I’m belting out full voice I hope you join me in doing something for yourself and your younger self this weekend

Day 25 of 30 of making my outfits feel better with jewellery…

Today I’m switching it up and going for an all silver look to dress up a simple denim shirt.

My stack:
🩶Silver lichen earrings.
🩶Silver heart studs (coming soon)
🩶Silver geometric earrings + matching necklace (I’ll let you in on a secret behind this design. It was actually inspired by the geometric pattern of the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle)

Paired with x2 gorgeous silver rings: The ‘f**k it’ short hand F**k shorthand signet ring, and baguette silver eternity ring.
