Fitzgerald Jewellers Fitzgerald Jewellers is an independent award winning shop based in the heart of Canterbury. We choose brands based on their narrative and the designers.

Fitzgerald Jewellers is a Canterbury based jewellers situated amongst the cobbled streets just a stone’s throw away from Canterbury Cathedral. Owner and Founder of Fitzgerald Jewellers, Trevor Fitzgerald has been a jeweller since the seventies. It wasn’t until early 2000 that he opened our now newly refurbished store but it really has gone from strength to strength.

For us, jewellery isn’t just about trends. We carefully design all of our jewellery in house and hand make it on site in our workshop. Our goldsmiths continue to use traditional methods of jewellery making. The brands we present in store are not necessarily based on a style but the story behind them. The collections have been carefully curated to appeal to our customers. We have a small but passionate team who love their job so every day is such a joy.

We like to think the Fitzgerald experience is unlike any other jewellers in Kent. We have strived to set ourselves apart with our unique interior and laid back approach. Buying jewellery is such a personal thing and even that one piece can signify such a huge part of someone’s life. We are always so honoured every day to be a part of something so special.

Have you heard the news? Marco Bicego is back in Canterbury, and we’re throwing a little party to celebrate! 🥂✨

On Saturday 7th November, from 6pm–9pm, we’ll be opening our doors for a special evening of beautiful Italian jewellery, delicious food and drinks from our friends at Macknade, and plenty of good company.

Whether you’re a long-standing Marco Bicego admirer, a familiar face at Fitzgerald’s or simply fancy joining us for a lovely evening, we’d absolutely love to see you.

For the ancient Romans, the serpent was a powerful symbol of protection, renewal and eternal life.

Inspired by this rich history, our goldsmith Eve has brought the serpent to life once more in this striking, handcrafted torque necklace.

A contemporary interpretation of an ancient adornment, created in our Canterbury workshop as part of XXV, our 25th anniversary collection.

We can’t begin to tell you how excited we were to see this beautiful couple at The Kent Wedding Show on Sunday! Our eyes lit up at the sight of this beautiful bespoke ring glittering on her finger 😍

With an oval diamond in the centre, the band is star set with a amethysts and sapphires, hand picked by her fiancée 💎

Almost 2,000 years of history, reimagined in gold ❤️

Featuring a genuine Roman coin depicting Emperor Claudius II, who ruled from AD 268 to 270, this beautiful pendant brings a little piece of the ancient world into the present day.

Handcrafted as part of XXV, our collection celebrating 25 years of Fitzgerald Jewellers in Canterbury, it’s a nod to the Roman history beneath our feet.
