Hello everyone,

Due to my brittle bone condition, I will be in Hong Kong from 9 March to approximately 27 May. Hong Kong’s Queen Mary Hospital has tentatively scheduled my bone replacement surgery on 10 April. After the surgery, I will need to remain in Hong Kong for recovery. Therefore, any custom orders or purchases will only be available after I return to Cambridge. Thank you for your understanding.

Viko will also be taking leave from 5 April to approximately 27 May to accompany me to Hong Kong and take care of me. If you would like to make an appointment, please contact Viko directly at +44 7354 927951.

14–15 February 2026, I travelled to Manchester for the “Wo Nei Siu” market — my first time exhibiting there.

It was the furthest market I have attended in nearly four years in the UK. I drove from Cambridge, a journey of around three and a half hours. As I needed to arrive by 9am, I left before 5:30am and drove through the night without sleep.

The first day coincided with Valentine’s Day. With good weather and a large event taking place in Chinatown, the atmosphere was lively and the footfall was strong. Two lion dance performances added to the festive mood. The day ended at 8pm, followed by a Korean BBQ dinner kindly arranged by Viko.

On the second day, the weather turned wet with periods of heavy rain. Fortunately, being used to outdoor markets, I was prepared with protective measures. Leather is highly sensitive to moisture, and any damage would mean a total loss. Although footfall was lower than Saturday, the organiser still arranged two lion dance performances to maintain the energy of the event.

After finishing at 8pm, I packed up and drove back to Cambridge. The long journey and two intense days of work were physically demanding.

Nevertheless, I am sincerely grateful to the organiser for the opportunity. Being able to share my work with a wider audience made the journey worthwhile.

Koi Natural Curve Wallet

Size: approx. 13.5 × 9.5 cm

The koi carries meanings of abundance, perseverance and success.
Inspired by the legend of the koi leaping over the Dragon Gate, it symbolises growth and determination in life.

This piece highlights the natural curved section of the koi leather, following the flowing movement of the fish to create a quiet yet powerful presence.

Enhanced with traditional Japanese brushed gold and silver finishing, and paired with Hong Kong or Italian cowhide for balance in texture and structure.

Entirely hand-stitched.
Minimal in appearance, generous in capacity — holds notes, coins, 5+ cards and keys.

One colour, one piece. Truly one of a kind.

鯉魚承載著多重祝福寓意——
豐盛、順遂、躍升與成功。
「鯉躍龍門」象徵突破蛻變、達成目標，以及在人生道路上持續向前。

在日本文化中，鯉魚亦代表堅持與逆流而上的力量，
是一種面對挑戰仍然專注前行的精神象徵。

設計上特意選用鯉魚革的天然曲線部位裁剪，
順著魚身流動的弧度構圖，
讓線條自然延展，呈現柔和卻富有力量的美感。

材質上選用鯉魚革，
配合香港黃牛革或意大利牛革拼接運用。
透過不同皮革之間的質感對比與手感層次，
營造出細膩而豐富的視覺效果。

鯉魚革本身結合日本抺金與抺銀工藝，
在自然紋理上增添微微閃耀的光澤感；
配上牛革穩定厚實的結構支撐，
在剛與柔之間取得平衡與和諧。

全人手縫製與處理，
從設計、裁剪、拼接到收邊，皆以手工完成，
保留皮革最真實的觸感與生命力。

外型簡約，大容量實用設計。
可收納紙幣、銀幣、5張或以上信用卡及鎖匙；
外側卡位可放置收據或常用卡片，
兼顧美感與實用性。

人生有餘 —— 有選擇、有底氣

「年年有餘」不只是一句賀年說話。

對以船為家、以捕魚為生的水上人來說，
魚代表收穫、代表生計、代表一年辛勞的成果。
他們祈求的是網網千斤、魚獲豐收 ——
一年到晚都有魚，不會斷糧。

而「魚」與「餘」同音。

古人說「年年有餘」，
意思不單是年年有魚，
更是年年有盈餘、有剩餘、有積存，
生活富足，不必為生計憂愁。

鯉魚（Koi）更承載多一層吉祥寓意：

• 「魚」諧音「餘」—— 年年有餘
• 「鯉」諧音「利」—— 得利有餘
• 「鯉躍龍門」—— 事業躍升、考試成功、人生向上

因此我以「鯉魚」為設計主軸，
將祝福意思刻在皮革之上，
希望這不只是一個匙扣，
而是一份可以隨身攜帶的祝願祝福大家。

Koi Blessing Leather Keychain

“Nin Nin Yau Yu” is more than a festive phrase.

For the boat-dwelling fishing communities who lived by the sea, fish meant harvest, livelihood, and survival.
To have fish was to have food, to have income, to have security.
Their prayers were simple — abundant nets and a good catch, year after year.

The word for “fish” sounds the same as “surplus”.
So “Nin Nin Yau Yu” carries a double meaning:

May there be fish every year.
May there be surplus every year.

Not just enough — but more than enough.

The koi carries further layers of blessing:

• Fish symbolises surplus and abundance.
• Koi sounds like “profit” or “gain”, symbolising prosperity.
• The image of a koi leaping upward represents success, advancement, and growth.

This is why I chose the koi as the central symbol.

Each keychain is not just an accessory,
but a small blessing you can carry with you.

“Have Fish · Have Surplus.”

May you always have:

Abundance in food.
Abundance in wealth.
Abundance in peace.
Abundance in blessings.
Abundance in life.

On 8 February 2026, I joined the Lunar New Year market organised by .hongkongers

The event was held at FarGo Village, a creative and cultural place with a unique atmosphere. The organisers were very kind and responsive, and everything was well arranged.

It was my first time seeing two lion dance performances at the same venue — they were amazing! 🦁✨
There were different activities throughout the market, and even a lucky draw. I was lucky enough to win a prize too! 🎁

What made this market even more special was meeting new stallholders .shimmery.dust . We exchanged contact details, followed each other, and even made plans for them to visit me in Cambridge.

I’m looking forward to seeing Oceana and her husband again soon. 💛

This year felt even more lively than before, with different performances and a great festive atmosphere.

It was so nice to see many familiar stallholders again. Every time I join a Hong Kong market, I feel such a strong sense of warmth and connection — through the language, the food, and the festive spirit.

Lunar New Year Collection — Japanese Style

日系新年系列

Inspired by Japanese New Year traditions, this Lunar New Year collection marks the designer’s first tribute to Japan’s festive culture.

As many know, the designer frequently travels to Japan to source unique materials. This series brings those journeys into the design, combining Japanese craftsmanship with symbolic elements of good fortune and celebration.

All earrings are finished with Japanese 925 sterling silver ear posts, paired with traditional hand-crafted ornaments from Japan.

Design details include:
• Gilded Japanese koi leather paired with a hand-painted Daruma charm （sold)
• Hand-painted iridescent purple Japanese shark leather combined with a lucky Maneki-neko
• Hand-painted Japanese lizard leather paired with a hand-folded origami crane and pearl

Each piece reflects blessings, luck, and new beginnings—captured in a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.

In Japan, the koi symbolises perseverance, good fortune, and prosperity.
Rather than wasting any part of the fish, artisans transform the skin into leather, allowing its meaning to continue in another form.

I travel to different cities in Japan to personally source koi leather in various textures and colours, selecting each piece with care. Through design, I hope to carry that sense of blessing forward.

For this brooch, I chose a Tokyo hand-painted, gold-brushed iridescent koi leather and shaped it into a half-moon form.
At the tail, Japanese pearls and Swarovski crystals are added to echo the natural tail of a koi — as if gently swaying in water, continuing its quiet movement and life.

The base is crafted from oxidised 925 sterling silver sourced in Taipei.

This piece is part of the Blessedness Collection —
a simple design that carries a quiet message of blessing.

Leather Safety Pin Brooch

Recently, a customer asked if I had any leather brooch designs. Looking back, I realised that safety pins have always been a quiet part of my past creations. This inspired me to design these three new brooches.

The design stays minimal, crafted with hand-painted Italian salmon leather, finished with hand stitching to highlight the natural texture of the leather. Each brooch is accented with a different charm, adding subtle character without overpowering the design:
• Handmade lampwork glass beads from the USA
• Amethyst from Korea
• Swarovski crystals from Japan
• Handmade ceramic infinity symbol from Portugal

Lightweight and easy to wear, these brooches can be styled on jackets, knitwear, scarves, or bags — simple details that quietly complete an outfit.

Every piece is one of a kind, with unique combinations of leather, stitching, and charms, staying true to my philosophy of never repeating the same design.
