Sometimes the best jewellery stories begin when things don’t go to plan.
Weithiau, y straeon gemwaith gorau yw’r rhai sy’n dechrau pan nad yw pethau’n mynd yn ôl y cynllun.

This ring came to me as a five-stone diamond ring for repair. We successfully repaired it, but the original design left the stones very vulnerable and, six months later, another stone was lost.

Rather than simply replacing it again, we decided to rethink the design entirely.

I rebuilt the ring in 18ct white gold, creating a thicker, textured band better suited to everyday wear. Each stone now sits in its own secure bezel setting, and a beautiful blue sapphire was added to bring a fresh new character to the piece.

The result is a ring that not only looks wonderful but is strong enough to keep up with its owner’s practical lifestyle for many years to come.

A reminder that sometimes restoration isn’t about returning a piece to what it was—it’s about helping it become what it should have been all along.

One ring. Two pendants.
Un fodrwy. Dau dlws.

These pendants were created from the wedding ring of my late father-in-law, transformed into keepsakes for his daughter and granddaughter.

He spent his working life as a sheet metal worker, shaping and finishing stainless steel with skill and precision. In tribute to his career, I hand-hammered a distinctive texture into the gold — a small nod to the materials, craftsmanship, and working life that formed such a large part of who he was.

Although the ring has taken on a new form, its meaning remains unchanged. A father, grandfather, husband, and craftsman, remembered through pieces that can be worn and treasured every day.

Memorial commissions are always a privilege, but this one was particularly special to create, honouring a man I was proud to know and whose craftsmanship I greatly admired.

Mae comisiynau coffa bob amser yn fraint, ond roedd hwn yn arbennig i’w greu, gan anrhydeddu dyn yr oeddwn yn falch o’i adnabod ac yr oeddwn yn edmygu ei grefftwaith yn fawr.

A real labour of love 🤍 Llafur cariad go iawn

Back in October, my sister-in-law and I cut my niece’s hair for the very first time. We saved one of her baby curls, and I promised to make something special to keep it safe forever.

I hadn’t made a locket in nearly 20 years, so this felt like dusting off some very rusty skills — relearning hinges and moving parts — but it was such a joy to make something purely for the love of it. Knowing it will be treasured forever means everything. ✨

Yn ôl ym mis Hydref, torrodd fy chwaer-yng-nghyfraith a minnau wallt fy nith am y tro cyntaf erioed. Fe gadwon ni un o’i chyrlau babi cyntaf, ac fe addawais wneud rhywbeth arbennig i’w gadw’n ddiogel am byth.
