There are only certain type of creepy crawlies I’m comfortable with having in my house and those are all made of polymer clay! 🫟

What about yourself? 🕷️

The flower crown (vainags) holds deep significance in Latvian culture. It symbolises womanhood, harmony with nature, endurance through seasons and centuries. 🌸

It’s a living symbol of the rhyme of the land, worn during rituals, solstice celebrations, weddings and harvests. 🔥

My crown is made from translucent and white polymer clay and is a stylised version I created after drawing inspiration from my Latvian cultural heritage and nature. 🌱

It’s not just an accessory, it’s a statement and belonging. I hope you like it. 🤍

I know they say that everything is content, but some projects are so immersive, big and emotional that filming video content takes a back seat while you stay in the moment and pour your heart and soul into your creation.

I have always been a fan of Translucent polymer clay and it was fun to see how other artists and makers use their colorful translucent clay as part of the ,however, translucent white remains favourite and I am allowing myself completely romanticise it through use in this flower crown project.

My final entry for is inspired by my Latvian heritage, summer solstice, meadows and weddings 🤍

Apart from being flexible, semi translucent and durable, polymer clay is also light making this bulky looking polymer clay crown comfortable to wear. 👑

I love strolling through the park in spring when cherry blossoms are in full bloom and pink petals cover the paths! 🌸🍒

To make these moments last a little longer, I designed and made a miniature wearable vase from polymer clay. 🏺 It’s translucent glow beautifully complements delicate blooms, and you can even add a few drops of water to keep your freshly picked flowers happy along the way. 💦

Now this tiny brooch allows me to carry a piece of spring with me 😍

Since I don’t suffer from hay fever, spring feels like a long awaited reward: more light, longer days and a strong urge to create nature-inspired pieces 🌿

With April celebrating translucent clay thanks to and their , I’m inviting you into my studio to virtually take a closer look at my latest centipede brooch. 🐛

In this video, I take the advantage of the flexibility of the clay by creating thin parts and showcase yet another possibility of turning my real life experiences into tangible polymer clay art. 👩🏻‍🎨

No music, gentle humming from my 3D printer and birds chirping outside. And while we’re on the topic of nature and me slowly emerging from winter hibernation, what did you think about the idea in the video? Did the colours make it a little less creepy.. or is it still a firm nope from you❔

Over the past decade, polymer clay has given me so much more than the artsy-fartsy hobby I first thought it might be 🪄✨

It gave me a creative outlet 🎨
It taught me how to use power tools 🛠️
How to make videos 🎥
It made me travel ✈️
It brought me community and friendships 🤝🫂
And even an income doing what I love 💖

But never on my polymer clay bingo card did I imagine that one day my work would be featured on a block of polymer clay itself! 🤩

Yet here we are... and I’m absolutely thrilled to share that Super Sculpey Flex Firm launched on March 11, with a label featuring my handmade dragon 🐲🐉

Along with Super Sculpey Flex Firm, this launched also featured 2 brilliant Sculpey Soufflé additions in “Racing Green” that was previously a web exclusive colour but it was highly requested to people at Sculpey brought back! 💚

➕ they added brown “Crème Brule” and “Midnight Mulberry” in a deep purple shade to this launch. I’m thrilled that they have expanded Soufflé range too as I truly love this velvety polymer clay! 🌈

Premo range has expanded by Butter Yellow colour and Sculpey III has 5 new colours: melon, hibiscus, magenta, sandalwood and sugar cookie. 🍪

Which one are you the most excited for? 🥳

Now please excuse me while I go continue my happy cry
