The prep has begun. Set your alarms for the biggest Sample Sale yet. 🐦🔥⏰‼️ Thursday 19th Nov 7pm GMT. 🚀 👀 Everything I’ve made & hoarded needs to find a home. 🥰 I want to clear the decks, I need to make the financial space to step off of my hamster wheel, out of the market loop, & to indulge in research time with my beautiful books. 📕 🐉 I crave spending hours carving, sculpting & turning my dreamed jewels into realities for you & I to wear. 🤲 ✨
It would be a luxury to have this time away from relentlessly selling & being a “business” to try & make a living as an artist. 🥵 This career is not yet a sustainable one & it’s sometimes really hard, but I’m determined enough to work it out, persist & pivot. 💃
I didn’t get the Arts Council funding, so I’m self-funding my creative development by clearing the decks. ⛵️ You coming along for the ride?! Gonna adopt some of my jewels to fund the next even better everything?! 🤠 Pieces will start at £10! There will be rings, chains, amulets, earrings, bangles, bracelets, brooches & probably more.

What’s a Sample Sale?? 👁️
Whilst I’m here - some people don’t know what a Sample Sale is - what a “sample” is. Fair enough! I’m self taught & I’ve accrued lots of bits & bobs as I’ve worked out what I’m doing (or still trying to do) over here. I have experimental silver amulets made in 2014, I have studs from collaborations where I made things in the wrong metal ( 🙈 ), I have rings that have gone rather weird in the casting process. They’re all beautiful. Some would say they’re not perfect or that they’re wrong. But I think many of these pieces can have a place in the world & by putting them online as a discounted rate, I hope they’ll find a home with someone & I hope this event generates a chunk of cash which can help me develop my work more. 🥰
