I visited the Clevedon Art Club Open Exhibition today and was delighted to see that my exhibition piece, “The Busy Garden” has found a new home. There’s still lots of wonderful artwork to enjoy (and buy) - the exhibition runs until Sunday.

I’m delighted to be exhibiting a glass design at this year‘s Clevedon Art Club’s open exhibition.

The exhibition has over 300 paintings and sculptures on show, runs until next weekend, offers refreshments and has free entry. It’s housed in Clevedon secondary school which has ample parking and is well signed.

My piece is called “The Busy Garden” is 30x18cm and available for £95.

ALL OF MY AUTUMN WORKSHOPS ARE NOW OPEN FOR BOOKINGS.

AT ALL THE WORKSHOPS YOU ARE VERY WELCOME TO MAKE CHRISTMAS DESIGNS OR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, IT’S UP TO YOU.

On the October and November sessions you CHOOSE TO MAKE 2 SMALL CHRISTMAS SHAPES OR COASTERS OR 1 LARGER RECTANGLE (which can be flat or curved). On the September workshops there's a little more choice. Please read the information on Eventbrite before booking. Here are the links:

These will be the FINAL WORKSHOPS that’ll run with my fabulous friend Sarah Quick. At the end of the year Sarah is retiring and moving away from the area. I will contiue with local workshops on my own - more details to follow in the coming weeks.

September fused glass workshops are now available and in the pipeline we have October and November workshops plus a big change coming. Read on:

OUR FINAL WORKSHOPS TOGETHER will be 6 workshops this autumn - spread over Sept- November (these will be no December workshops). At the end of the year Sarah Quick is retiring and moving away from the area, hence these are our last workshops together. Sarah Aumayer will contiue with local workshops on her own - more details to follow in the coming weeks.

We are offering lots of flexibility in these September workshops. On the day you can choose the size of your glass - a square (15x15cm), a Christmas tree (15x7cm), a circle (7cm diameter), a small square (10x10cm) or a rectangular panel (23x7cm).

On the October and November sessions you CHOOSE TO MAKE 2 CHRISTMAS SHAPES OR 1 RECTANGULAR CURVE. So on the September workshops there's MORE choice.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a fabulous architect and interior designer and I wonder how much of his work will inspire my glass designs in the coming months.

Last week I was in Glasgow to watch the Commonwealth Games. I couldn’t resist fitting in visits to 2 properties by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, The Hill House and The Willow Tea Rooms. What an architect and what an interior designer. Amazing.

HALF PRICE JEWELLERY

I’ve decided to stop making Fused Glass jewellery and currently have all my remaining stock of pendants available at half price at the craft sale at Woodnthings Cleeve North Somerset.

I’m also donating 50% of the proceeds to childrenshospicesw.
