Lab Grown Diamonds!

There are a few ways to create Lab grown Diamonds. The method will determine the quality of the stone.

One of the best methods is:
High pressure high temperature (HPHT)

A thin piece of natural or lab diamond is placed into a chamber with a carbon source like graphite and a metal catalyst. The reactor heats the material to 1500 degrees while adding enormous pressure. The carbon & metal will dissolve & carbon atoms crystallise onto the diamond piece over time.
The Diamond is then cut, polished & set to create the finished piece!

Most of the Pearls on the market are grown on Pearl Farms within Oysters & Freshwater Mussels. These are called Freshwater or Cultured Pearls.

Natural Pearls are extremely rare to find. Historically this was the only method of Pearl harvesting, however this lead to much waste as not every mollusc will have a Pearl inside & is no long common practice.
